I love Winter Wolves Games, but this game is broken. Its got the schedule planning mini game within the VN like they do, except none of the scoring works right. Whether you play and event or not, its random if it will charge you money for things you don't get points for or add a few more points on top. You can't really plan the calendar. On easy mode you can't get the 600 to get the best ending. Do yourself a favor and stick to the shop or other WinterWolves games on steam. This one definitely isn't worth the time and frustration for nothing.

Reviewing positively for the tangy soundtrack from the ever-delicious L33tstreet Boys. But otherwise, oooooh, baby… here we go. Roommates is like that meal you thought was gonna hit the spot, but when you finally take a bite? It’s like biting into a stale, rubbery piece of bread. You know when you’re at a diner and you order the special, thinking it’s gonna be fresh and satisfying, but it turns out to be some canned soup dumped into a bowl with a slice of processed cheese on top? Roommates is that bowl of mystery soup. It looks good on the menu, but when you dig in, you’re left wondering, ‘Where’s the flavor?’ Gameplay: Alright, let’s talk gameplay. Now, Roommates is supposed to be a dating sim, right? A hearty, fulfilling meal of character interaction and decision-making. But what you get? It’s like ordering a gourmet steak, and instead, you’re served a microwaved frozen dinner. The gameplay is boring. Choices? Sure, they exist—but they don’t stick to your ribs, ya know? I remembering playing this game years ago on my tablet. I decided to buy it again on PC and do the same route I did all those years ago. Really nostalgic.

Roommates is a visual novel/dating sim where you play through one year of college, and try to build a relationship with one of four other characters. You can choose to play as a guy or a girl. Initially I was quite thrown by the scheduling component in the game. I read the guide on the Steam Community, as well as the walkthrough and hints available on the Developers website. It took me one semi successful playthrough to figure out the game mechanics. I also played through Love Bites, another game by the same developer that has a similar but simpler mechanic. Anyway, after one successful play through, I'm part way through a third play through. It is quite a fun game once you get the hang of it , well done, and runs smoothly.

All I can really say is this. I found this game maybe around the age of 10-11 years old, now being the ripe age of 21 (Math could be wrong lol) but either way I found this game on a tablet and I fell in love with the demo, however not being able to pay for the actual game itself I played every possible path I could on the demo and latter in life forgot all about it. Until out of the blue this game hit me and I bought it with my "big boy money". I still remember the love I have for this simple game. I have only recently got a hang of this games style and am going to try and 100 percent this game over the coming weeks. The Characters are all unique and lovable and the replay value is simple but effective, with small changes based on your choices. I don't think I truly have a problem with this game besides it being shorter than I thought it was going to be. 21 weeks is all you get and it stops you half way, however I still do enjoy the premise of the game and the hidden challenge that comes to romancing certain characters. A good short visual novel. The characters are nice and funny and the events are pretty original, sometimes odd but in a good way. I only regret there's only one gay romance and that the game is a bit short.
