"There is... something... that flows between all of us. You can feel it too, can't you? Spirit, Life, Magic, whatever you call it... it's there. It binds us all together in a way. We're all made of it. But some... some can conjure it. Mold it, shape it, change the universe with it. I fear those who can."
Garbage Writer who Derailed their own story in the second half

tl;dr This guy is basically another Yanderedev. He needs to Get A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Proofreader.
I'm going to abridge this review because Steam has a character limit. The first half was written beautifully. The story was set up about Blite. Learning to love themselves. One with the destructive impulse to lash out at their repression, the other maintaining a smiling façade to hide their other half away. The doomed negative spiral continuing until they have a literal near death experience, and only then does a glimmer of hope show itself. Blayk and Nite starting to repair their relationship was what got me invested in this game, and my investment in the characters and wanting them to be happy and together was the core of wanting to see this story through to the bitter end. The [strike]Pokémon[/strike] Ahoki, collectibles, combat, lore, or other details all only worked because the core characters were people I wanted to root for, decorations for Blite themselves. So what happened? He focused on those decorations and the writing went to ♥♥♥♥.
Trans fans
He made (both of) the main characters transgende…24 found this helpful
Honestly, this game reminds me why I wish there was a mixed option when it comes to games. There is some good and even great stuff mixed in with a bunch of mediocre and even outright bad moments. I feel more disappointed by this game and its potential being wasted than I do positive about what it did right. And that is the best way I can describe my feelings on the game, but I'll summarize my points as best I can. HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD! 1. The game looks pretty good, except for when it comes to the random filler npcs. The pixel art is fun and has a enjoyable personality to it, but the random npcs all having the same general body types as well as constant 4th wall breaking humor really takes you out of the experience, to the point that it feels like it was made for youtubers in mind rather than players who want to actually get invested in the world (There is literally a ligma balls joke near the end of the game and a friday night funkin bit not too far back) which leads into my second point. 2. The writing is really weird and kinda frustrating with a two in one great character with a ton of wasted potential with a side of disappointment. Blite, or Blayk and Nite felt like they had th…5 found this helpful
Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the "lowest historical price" on steam at time of purchase. Quick score: 4/5 (Will rewrite review and update score once I finish the game) Notes: Pretty interesting game. Im not finished yet, but I feel compelled to put an early review because so far I have enjoyed it and Im definitely interested in seeing where the gameplay and story goes. Based on what I've played so far this game should definitely have more attention and positive reviews. Ill update whenever I get around to finishing it. -Gameplay is simple but enjoyable -Story, dialogue, and characters are interesting -Visually the game is very interesting/good and fun to look at and explore By far if I had 1 major complaint so far it's that that soundtrack is not all that compelling and most of the time there is no music at all, which is very strange for a game going for this style. It's like if Undertale didn't have a soundtrack. Personally wasn't a fan of undertale because of the random encounter turn based combat, but there's no denying that the OST is an extremely important part of why that game is considered so great.3 found this helpful
Roseblight is an atmospheric indie action-RPG that leans heavily into mood, symbolism, and slow-burn discovery rather than spectacle or instant gratification. Developed and published by AploveStudio, the game presents a bleak and introspective journey through a hostile world shaped by catastrophe, asking players to piece together its meaning through exploration, combat, and quiet narrative moments. From the outset, Roseblight makes it clear that it is less concerned with power fantasy and more interested in vulnerability, survival, and the emotional weight of its setting. The story is set on the desolate planet of Ahokau, a world scarred by a mysterious meteor impact that has twisted both the land and its inhabitants. You take on the role of an unlikely protagonist—a gardener whose life is irrevocably altered by the unfolding disaster. Rather than positioning the hero as a destined savior, the game frames the journey as deeply personal, grounded in loss, confusion, and gradual understanding. Narrative details are delivered sparingly through environmental storytelling, fragmented dialogue, and encounters with other survivors, encouraging players to actively interpret what they see …

Bought the game on itch first about half a year ago, and it gave me a steam key now. Game's fun.
