I like this game and enjoy uncovering the mystery by completing each difficulty. The art style and soundtrack are great. It's satisfying, enjoyable, and a challenging bullet hell experience. I recommend this game

Rotschwert is a really solid entry to the Shoot 'Em Up category, with its use of monochrome and minimalistic aesthetic. The gameplay is pretty straight forward, you've got a tracking rapid fire attack and a slow spread burst for crowd control which requires the player to use it strategically depending on the situation, there's also a speed up button that accelerates your movement to get out of tight situations, its like a reversed focus mode. The strongest aspect of this game is the amount of content and secrets that can be found, the story is very abstract and mysterious so its up to the player to puzzle together what the actual meaning is, this is a common trend with Winged Fox and his games. sufficed to say, this is game is a fun time and I recommend it :)

This game has impeccable vibes, and a beautiful, clean style that makes playing it and dancing with your little sprite enchanting and mysterious. The game is tough as hell at the higher difficulties, but it's super satisfying to polish your skills to get just a little bit further. If you love bullet hells with great patterns, mechanics, and vibes, definitely give this one a shot!

Rotschwert is a pretty solid shmup that does a few things to differentiate itself from other shmups. In this game, you're given health instead of extra lives. Another thing I should point out is that you don't take contact damage from enemies but rather you damage the enemies when you collide with them which I think is pretty unique. I also like the atmosphere in this one. The soundtrack is also pretty good. Overall, I will be coming back to this one a fair bit and eventually tackling the higher difficulties. I look forward to Nullschwert. This is an easy recommendation especially if you like bullet hell shmups.

I bought this purely on a whim when combing through games with very few reviews. Not a mistake, fun little shmup with some unique mechanical choices (namely, nonexistent I-frames and rather than a discrete life count, health) and some meta shenanigans. I'm probably never going to finish AlterEgo, though. Asking me to do a pacifist run through a game with melee contact damage is a big ask. Looking forward to Nullschwert's full version whenever that comes out.
