About Rubber Duck

Ever had to spend your working hours staring at screen clicking and pretending in order to gain for living? Now you've a Rubber Duck that can make your (and my) miserable working day much more fun!
  • Too much fun & too much cuteness.
  • Satisfying and addicting pixel-perfect clicking!
  • Wear whatever customizations, clicking still pixel-perfect.
  • 150 different customizations with endless combination possibilities.
  • You think you have nice cosmetic item idea, submit it to the community or X, and it will make it to the customization list!
  • >150 Achievements (Steam shows only the first 100 though till the game gets some traction).
  • It is not just clicking & picking acquiring random cosmetics, every combination counts!
  • Salary pay slip drops every 8 hours, gain "Dullaks" for living.
  • Multiple leaderboards to try to race & top.
  • Online Rich Presence.
  • No paid customizations, all items can be acquired through play.
  • If you are dedicated, technically you need to play the game for ~97 years to unlock everything and reach limit of clicks. But maybe you can do it in much less years!
  • All that, and not as a $80 price tag!!!
  • Steam Avatars
  • Steam Deck Supported
Rubber Duck is an Idle game that meant to make Idling little-much more interesting, lovely & rewarding...maybe! But this doesn't mean that this is not a game that you can keep running at the side to play itself in order to collect some rewards. Either way, it is your Rubber Duck rn!

✦ AI summary

Duck Clicker has an appealing concept with cute aesthetics and responsive developer support that listens to feedback, but the progression system relies heavily on time-gated currency drops and grinding that many find tedious and unrewarding. While some players enjoy the idle nature of the game, others criticize the extremely long unlock timelines (potentially 97 years to complete everything) and feel that progression is too slow even after developer improvements to the payday timer.

Purchased cause the ducks were cute and wanted something mindless to do on the side while focused on other tasks. Clicked for 20min then clicked on uninstall, Not a single customization was earned. Whomever thought the timed payslip was a good idea for progression over just sheer amount of clicks is wild. This Clicker is about as bare bones as it gets, and I wasn't willing to wait for a 3hr timer to go off to access any of the honestly good looking customizations.

In the game's description's words from the dev, "[i]If you are dedicated, technically you need to play the game for ~97 years to unlock everything and reach limit of clicks.[/i]". I wish I'd read that before I paid money for this grind fest of a game. I'm too old for this ♥♥♥♥. You click on the duck and your click total increments. Some achievements are based on the number of clicks. Every [strike]8[/strike] 3 hours there's a currency drop. That's better than the original 8 hours for a drop. Upgrades/customization require in game currency. The amount of currency has been more than tripled by an update/patch. The devs willingness to patch/update the game is a good start. [strike]If you like grinding more than results, this is the game for you. If you're not into excessive grinding, skip this idle/clicker.[/strike] I'm not sure how much grinding will be required now and the games basic structure hasn't changed and it isn't something I enjoyed. If Steam allowed for neutral recommendations (neither recommended or not recommended), I might give it a neutral rating now but Steam doesn't allow for that. A real shame. Then again will the changes made significantly speed up the exper…

PRO - dev added some cools features listening to feedback NEUTRAL - it's kinda barebone you reach your "maximum clicking power" quite early then it became monotonous CONS - getting to trillions and quadrilions takes forever and kills the fun (i'm nearly 100h in and at 155 billions and 93% achievements and max CPI) Would surely come back if new features would be added so I'm leaving a positive review

I like the concept and i understand taking some time to unlock everything. But having to stay on the game for 3 hours originally 8 which is better just to get a small amount of money is such a waste of time. Its just going to take forever to even get anywhere. EDIIT: The pay day is only 3 hours now which is so much better, but i think the pay should be more based on click amount as its still gonna take ages however its so much better. And i want to say a huge thankyou for the fact the developer instantly updated their game from comments to make it better for everyone :))
