Rule with an Iron Fish - A Pirate Fishing Adventure

This game was quite enjoyable back when I originally purchased it near release, but I felt it had too little content for the price and refunded it. I honestly wish I hadn't. Rule With still worked back then, whatever has happened to it since means it really doesn't. A quick peek on the forum shows this, that the developer's been aware of the issues for a while, and has yet to release a patch. I tried getting back into this about two months ago. The game back then crashed every five minutes, always with some progress loss...but it was still borderline playable at least. Nowadays it tends to error out with rendering issues before reaching the main menu, if it'll even start up in the first place. Of course the problems with invisible backgrounds, characters, and text boxes persists should you make it back into your game. Achievement hunters, although all included used to work fine the "Legendary Fisher" one is partially broken now as stat tracking with it tends to conk out at the 128-fish mark. Having to use SAM for Rule With is highly likely. Avoid this game for now. Should this ever be fixed there is a super pretty, very chill title buried in here. Somewhere.

I'm a sucker for Fishing minigames and this whole game is essentially that, you get what you see here if you like fishing mechanics or relaxing games think about picking this up on a discount, it can drag on a bit with the grind gong for 100% but it was still a fun game to have open in the background while you watch a show or something, it has upgrades and progression to keep you going as well as some story elements that i admittedly skipped but overall it's good.

Very fun, cute and relaxing little game. Bought on sale and I am extremely happy with this purchase. Lots of silly dialogues, that really make me smile :) Wish I could find more games like this one. Hilly recommend for all, who like to shut their brain and just enjoy the little activities, such as fishing, farming and exploring.

Such a fun and relaxing game. Easy to play and genuinely amusing dialog give this game a lot of personality. This is definitely a casual game in all the best ways.

good fishing game with good comedy dialogue & great fish designs. i'm so happy the glitch was fixed with the Legendary Fisher achievement and i can finally 100% it <3333

Cute fishing game. This was probably ported from mobile, since the visuals are all focused in the center. The UI is not too great. Dialogues pop up all over the place instead of just on one spot so you have to keep looking around to follow a conversation. Also, the day to night effect is really annoying. Days really have no gameplay purpose, so there's really no point in having the screen go dark and light so frequently. It really messed up with my eyes. Other than that the humour is quite entertaining and I enjoyed collecting all the fish.
