I view Sairento as a futuristic cyberpunk Japan with the ability to accelerate through time (aka bullet time). With an impressive amount of weapons, and the ability to upgrade your weapons and armor with varying traits, there are tons of ways to fight your opponents. There are also multiple skill trees to enhance your agent. The campaign/story is very light. Stop the bad guy and his henchmen from taking over the city. That doesn't take long, so the real gameplay here is different missions you can undertake in the city, such as Assassinate a crime boss or Eliminate a gang from a city block. You'll play a lot of missions, but they're quick. Usually less than 5 minutes each. The game itself it definitely a blast. My only complaint is, once you get good (around level 100), you will be able to destroy anything the game throws at you. Although that is always satisfying, the challenge part of the game disappears. I played levels 100-1000 at the highest difficulty (one hit kills you) and rarely died, while clearing out a room of 40+ guys in less than a minute. It's crazy fun, but eventually I moved on.2 found this helpful
The difficulty curve for this game needs some serious tweaking. It is way too difficult for the first few hours and while i imagine this will be alleviated with more skill unlocks and better equipment, and because you get more practice at the game....thats not a solution. I could only just barely beat some missions on the difficulty above normal, where as some others were almost impossible, and i cant see how the max difficulty is supposed to be possible even WITH skill unlocks. Could i have tried to drop the difficulty down to normal, or even easy? Sure. I could have, and some of my problems may have gone away but im of the opinion that the three "base" difficulties of ANY game, easy, normal, and hard, should not in any require anything other than skill to complete and anything above that is for stuff that needs extra gear or abilities etc. The "Slow mo" called "Acceleration" in this game, is honestly pretty terrible. The gameplay videos on the store page show one clip where the player is in slow mo for a good 10-15 seconds but in game, right now, at least with no skills, slow mo starts and ends within a second. you get to play as a hot kunoichi in a cyberpunk ninja gaiden VR game. i don't think i need to explain why that's awesome. stop looking at reviews and go play it already.
It fun, Has some jank for me standing up with an Index headset. The core gameplay loop is so much fun it does not really matter.
