Sakura Clicker is a very simple idle game, but it knows exactly what it is trying to be. I am clicking enemies on screen to deal damage, earning gold when I defeat them and using that money to make my character stronger. The enemies keep getting tougher, so I have to keep upgrading my damage and hiring allies to keep the numbers moving. It is basically an endless cycle of clicking, upgrading and moving on to the next enemy, but I found it surprisingly easy to settle into. The biggest thing keeping me interested is the progression. I can buy upgrades for my main character and hire allies who attack automatically, so eventually I am not doing everything myself. There are also different enemy types and bosses to work through, and the difficulty keeps increasing as I progress. I like the feeling of watching my damage numbers grow because the improvements are easy to see. At the beginning I am clicking constantly, while later my allies are doing a lot more of the work.
