Sashimi Slayer

Really fun rythm game, there's only 2 levels at the moment (3 if you count the tutorial) so how much you'll play it depends entirely on how good you wanna become at them, which to me translated into multiple attempts on both Jelly Queen and The Kraken. Learning to nail perfect slashes and blocks is really addictive overall, though at times, I'd found myself wanting a little bit more leeway on some notes (I saw there's an aim multiplier setting, so that's worth trying out). Otherwise, another minor nitpick, but the Settings seem to follow the game's controls to navigate, which I found a bit confusing at first since most games tend to use regular controls here. Otherwise, it's 100% worth trying out since it's free and I would totally buy a paid version with more levels at a reasonable price.

as an enjoyer of rhythm games, handcrafted art styles, unique gameplay quirks and shrimp in general, it's like this game was made for me (now all it needs is a capybara, possibly in a hawaiian) I have internally named the titular Sashimi Slayer as Yoshrimbo, and I wish him all the best on his quest to gather sushi to sell with his shrimp wife also devs pls give me shrimp based steam emotes I NEED it

Pretty cute rhythm game. There's not a lot to do, but with it being free, you can't really complain. The music's neat, and I liked the tentacle clap mechanics. The MC is also very adorable.

Super simple, well-drawn rhythm freebie with a funny sushi theme. I'd happily play more of anything in this art style.

Very simple and satisfying. On keyboard, its just three buttons and a slight adjustment of the mouse to aim. Music is nice and very soothing. I'm generally terrible with rhythm games, but this one is very well done. I was admittedly sad about there only being 3 levels, but its still a lovely game. The visuals are also very cute and charming, especially with the surprisingly large amount of variety with expressions.
