What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players consistently praise the game's engaging gameplay loop, charming art style, and satisfying progression system that keeps them coming back through multiple playthroughs. However, many criticize inconsistent hit detection and dodge mechanics that feel unfair, along with complaints that the core experience is somewhat linear and lacks randomness despite the roguelite structure. The game appears to offer solid fun for patient players but falls short for those expecting deeper variety or precise combat mechanics.
I am currently at a Prestige 5 victory. It's a very very good game that just clicks and grows on you the more you play. I'm an old gamer (47 y/o at the time of the review), so my reflexes aren't as good as they were in my 20s, but still I could beat the game through a steady improvement. I think I'm in for 15/20 hours of pure bliss!2 found this helpful
I don't like this game its boring and repetitive it try's to be a monster hunter/hades hybrid and it fail the stamina bar slow the games much feels like curse of the dead gods. Just wait for openings and attack zzzzz. Oh and the power ups are generic and the story/characters are genetic is that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Zeus is see as the main guy??? Your character says nonsense all the time like "mmm that was good!" for what pick up 5% damage reducing??? i didn't eat anything? This game is aaaahhhh just a mish mash of of ideas blended with zzzzz and boredom.
Addicted cuz I love the wakfu/dofus lore (childhood core game memory) General thoguht: Although gameplay mechanics doesn't feel as good personally for me as the Hades series but it definitely has its own charm. I also never really liked monster hunter because of how grindy it is but the roguelite element really helps with making every run feels new. There is definitely a learning curve to this game because of how much gear you have. Con: The worst con for this game right now for me is how overwhelming it is in my first/second playthrough. There is a lot of reading the game throws at you and the upgrade mechanics for gears and talents/relics etc...'s interface is sooo condense with information making the game flow feels chunky. I had to watch a tutorial vid to reduce my learning load. I'd think this would discourage a lot of the player base who are newer to the roguelite genre. Other than that. The replay loop is pretty fun as you get into the game. It can get pretty intense thus requiring alot of focus but that's the charm of this game as well as it can really take you away to its own world.
this deserves more attention. im enjoying it alot.
Well, pretty nice game to buy only with discounts. Straigth up game. Low bosses, lack of randomnes. Its linear, you do some rooms. Pick 1 of 2 choices of bosses and 1 final boss. Nothing more. U can keep playing till you max prestige, but it only gets harder with prestige active... It works like Challenge + Idol in dofus.
It would like to be a mis of Hades and Monster Hunter but fails at both. Pro: The art style is cute Weapon diversity is good. Cons: The hit detection and dodge frames in this game are absolute garbage and don't make sense at all. The same attack can be dodged one time, but not the next, and sometimes you get even hit by an attack that essentailly happend on the other side of the room. Can't recommend that game.
