About Schrodinger’s Cat And The Raiders Of The Lost Quark
Schrödinger’s Cat is a fun, frantic, wacky and colourful puzzle-laden platform game, set in a unique and quirky quantum physics world.

There’s chaos at the Particle Zoo! What used to be a cheery theme-park environment is now overrun with hungry leptons, sticky-fingered gluons and massive, stubborn bosons. The Zoo is put on lockdown, and the emergency services are called in to sort everything out. Those emergency services? Schrödinger’s Cat, of course!

Combine and create useful bits of temporary matter - copters, drills, bubbles and grenades - to combat and subdue all the subatomic critters running amok, and help Schrödinger’s Cat work out how they all got out of their cages in the first place.

- A satisfying climax that only clever people will be able to enjoy properly!
Puzzles of your dreams. Shortinger is a puzzle game mixed with platforming, but most of the time you gonna combine quarks together. Quarks are super tiny creatures that you collect. 3 give some sort of ability like hover up, kamehameha and others. Dialogs with characters are super long and I mean LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG, can't skip them only press to speed up. When stuck, restart whole section. VIsuals are not the worst and kinda reminiscent of Rayman. Level design is mostly simple with focus on abilities usage. It's not the worst but in general boring to play. Music is ok. Resolution up to 1080p.
4 found this helpful
Short version: this game is a sweet dessert covered in sharp glass shards. After hearing so much "there's always a first time", this is the only game that I didn't like and yet got all the achievements - without even finishing the history. What makes the experience bad (awful for me) are the little things that pile atop each other, that end up resulting in a game that I would never recommend. Starting from the smaller problem, even with solid and fluid gameplay, there's no way to change keybinds, a problem given that the controls for gamepads are honestly bad. Things get quickly annoying when you start over from the beginning and notice that most dialogues cannot be skipped - and there's a ton of them. Personally, the pesky protagonist that never shuts up and the items (quarks) that make high pitched noises when collected and used are very irritating, to the point that made me play most of the game without sound - because hearing that was just unbearable, and the configuration to remove voices doesn't remove the high pitched quark sound, because it's treated as sound effect. To make this even worse, you cannot access the configurations (sound, graphics, etc) at any time. For some …2 found this helpful
The game is not correctly compatible with Windows 10. I got it working by rolling back to 2022 version of the game, but there is no telling if some unfixed bugs can block my game. So be careful if you are thinking about buying this game. I would probably not recommend it for modern machines, especially Windows 11.1 found this helpful
I'm writing this review because I just saw this forgotten gem somehow only has a mixed rating. Platforming is alright. The combo mechanic is interesting enough to make a playthrough worthwhile alone, but the where this game really shines is the humour. There are many games out there which try to be humourous, but I'd be hard pressed to name more than perhaps two other games that had me laughing as hard as this one. My stoic german facade hardly ever drops, but this game required me to pause for a minute or two until i could stop the guffaw. Whether that means the game has insanely good writing or I'm just a weirdo is up to you. My work to the algorithm here is done.1 found this helpful
Fun and engaging puzzle-platformer with unique premise and quirky charm. Good voice acting and cool physics-based challenging puzzles.
