Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
So I just finished 26 puzzles and I'm 2.7 hours into the game. That means I am spending a little over 6 minutes on average per puzzle. There are 100 puzzles in the game. Truth be told, when you see the solution quickly it's a very satisfying feeling. However, when you don't see the solution after what seems an eternity and have to use hints then it can be a little humiliating. I am sure there's puzzle pros out there who can probably beat this game in 30 minutes. But I think most people will take as long as I am taking per puzzle. That's not only because the puzzles can be difficult to see as far as spatially, but the game has a few quirks that can temper your enjoyment and prolong the game. It seems that for some puzzles you have to be way too precise to get the solution. The good news is that I haven't solved one puzzle by accident yet. Each time I solved the puzzle was because I saw the solution and took steps to solve it or I used enough hints that I finally saw the answer. The bad news is that sometimes I saw the solution, thought I solved it, only to see that nothing happened. I had to fiddle with the solution…15 found this helpful
Reminds me of those stare at long enough pictures from the 90's and you see something else annoying things. Really just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boat ride where you have to get the correct angle on what I am guessing is a load of bought puzzles. Jesus, at $10 I can pay some Thai stripper to contort to more memorable positions. No, No, and a huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NO! Gameplay if you have to, https://youtu.be/vgT90X6eArQ10 found this helpful
I’ve seen this type of puzzles that are in this game before and I like them. After reading several reviews, I decided to give the game a chance since it was on sale. I’m surprised how much I enjoyed the game since so many didn’t find it interesting. The story that connects all the puzzles together is not too interesting so far, but I’m not very far into the game yet. Since I have a GTX 1080 ti, I decided to ratchet up the graphics setting to “Ultra” which adds more detail. Settings are in the back of the book for those who haven’t looked there yet. I do enjoy traveling around in the boat to the puzzles. Visiting inside the volcano was something I wasn’t expecting and I liked that. Most of the puzzles are not very easy and there is a hint system which I am very happy about. I give myself about 10 - 15 minutes before I try a hint and it is just enough of a hint to help but not give it away. I don’t get motion sick in this game although, I can see how some might. No rapid turns! My favorite part, aside from the puzzles is the sky. It goes through daybreak, daytime, sunset and night with a full moon and stars. There are fish in the water and great clouds and b…4 found this helpful
3/10 You know that annoying shelob minigame in Middle Earth, well this is an entire game of that. Graphics are mediocre. production is pretty poor. You rotate objects around until they fit with your perspective on them in 3d. Some might like this, I didn't think much of it.3 found this helpful
The controls are too weird for my liking - index And some of the puzzles are way too easy
