An eclectic and enigmatic 3D game that ranges from walking sim/maze to precision platformer; the only constant is a lack of instructions. With such variety it’s unlikely that many people will enjoy everything it has to offer, and there are no level skips. At its heart every level is a maze, with a few key objects you have to find to unlock the paths that allow you to eventually reach the exit. The key objects are really just collectibles, you don’t use them, you just walk over them and then hope that you can guess what might have changed. There are roughly three types of levels: * Reflex-free mazes: twisty little passageways, all alike (yes that’s a Zork reference, but also a fairly apt description). The first level was OK but by the time I got to the second, (nearly identical looking except for layout) I was fully over it. Too bad it took at least 30 minutes to escape. * Platformers where you had to figure out the viable path to the exit. From the beginning, it’s clear that the experience is designed to be interpreted rather than explained, asking players to find their own meaning in its quiet, often ambiguous progression. Each level places you in a self-contained environment with a simple objective: reach a distant tree that acts as a symbolic endpoint. There’s no dialogue, no direct storytelling, and very little guidance beyond visual cues. This minimalist approach creates a sense of isolation that can be both intriguing and disorienting. At times, it encourages a kind of meditative exploration, where the lack of direction becomes part of the experience.
