Shards of Order

1. Build a deck to win battles. 2. Be successful and win battles. 3. Suddenly they add something completely outside of the battle that instakills you from full hp. Expected outcome: win battle Actual outcome: What? WTF? Err what? But at least they made sure to do so around the 2 hour mark so you cannot refund the game. Peak game design.

Game is alright, paid $10 for 17 hours of fun. The game is extremely easy; I died once throughout the entire run. If you're bored, give it a try, but don't expect much. A couple of bugs here and there, like "vulnerable" still showing as a white box, and guard not completely blocking damage, it still breaks the shield. 6/10

Fun Quick Game, There were a lot of things the Devs want you to do that you don't understand till you play a bit For example: My biggest complaint is that the Eye for Healing isn't explained as being a rotational skill or if you should avoid using it. It turns out you heal at irregular intervals at campfires so if you want more of a challenge you should avoid using the Eye. The Devs need to add a little more info than they do around the eye so players don't think they need to spam it in fights or use it at the end of a fight to top off. I had an issue with the whale where i think one of my memories was blocking me from completing the quest peacefully due to damage on redraw. I also think they should allow you to edit your deck before that fight because i went in with cost reduction and drawmax based around blasting sacrifice cards. so it was close to impossible with my deck construction to not deal damage. When searching for the lab in burning sands its the first time you encounter a quest where you cannot complete it until you come back to the area later.... this made me run around and stand of every spot on the map trying to figure out what i missed.... when i didn't miss a…

A genuinely great experience. A good story, great art, quality voice acting, choices that matter and tight card mechanics. All for the price of a six-pack. Really the only complaint is that the game isn't very long, there is no sequel and that there is still the occasional bug here and there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Its your typical scenario of where the developers know how to MAKE a game....but have no idea how to DESIGN a game. Its just bad... 30 minutes in or so and I got my second character....and its a massive detriment to my deck. No healing, resting - I'm taking a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of damage because I have little block and instead have to waste time moving around?? It blows my mind the devs played this and said "yeah, this is good!" when trying to handle multiple characters....Anyone with half a **** brain would have told you to separate them out. 3 characters? 3 decks or 3 energy pools to use or whatever. I can't even put thoughts together to describe how dumb the current design is, my brain keeps going into shock trying to think about it. Its **** beyond bad design - with an incredibly simple fix. My second with the archer and my desire to play just vanished, it went from an interested experience to just painful.

What a gr8 game. A hidden gem this one.
