Shattered Dimension

I am a fan of Cotton Game and Shattered Dimension attracted me in with it's unusual premise and a very distinct visual style. I played the demo and was eagerly awaiting the full game release wanting more of the same. Now, after completing all 5 episodes / stories in the game, I can say that it was definitely worth the price, but I was surprised by some unusual inconsistencies: - The visual style varies per episode! All of the screenshots in the store except the last two are from episode 1 (featured in the demo). Sad to say I don't like the look of the other episodes as much. The definite low is episode three that quite noticeably uses almost entirely AI-generated artwork. I am not 100% conceptually against using AI but the heartless look did significantly spoil my enjoyment of this episode. There is visible use of AI in the astronaut episode too (ep 4 I think). Interestingly enough, these two episodes don't feature in the screenshots. - The episodes also vary quite a bit gameplay-wise. It actually feels like each episode was made by someone else, using the same engine. Episode 3 also has the worst gameplay, where you constantly have many items and it's very obvious where to use…

Typically weird and wonderful Cotton Game. Will make your head spin sometimes, but the solutions are always to be found inside the game.

I'm probably biased because I love these kind of puzzle games and I also love the developers style but this is yet another game from Cotton Games that I have really enjoyed playing. It really is a puzzle-fest! It seemed to go on forever with 5 chapters and a quite detailed story - although you can get away with doing the puzzles without worrying too much about the little messages that come up but it is more immersive if you read them as there is a story behind it all. I got stuck a few times but thankfully there is already a video walkthrough available and I realised I shouldn't have been stuck if I'd paid more attention. The puzzles are varied and interesting - some easy, some not so easy. I found it a bit confusing as to how to get onto the next chapter as both 'new game' and 'continue' are available to click on but you have to make sure you have selected a new chapter before you continue. Otherwise all the controls were pretty intuitive. Another great game which took me quite a few hours and a few sessions to complete and I'm sure will be replayable as soon as a bit of time has passed. I look forward to yet more from Cotton Game.

I loved it — it's one of my favorite games. Unfortunately, there are no achievements, so I'll probably never know what I missed. :(

Fun little Point & Click puzzle game, with a variety of puzzles in 5 different levels. Nothing really out of the ordinary but everything was fine. Wish there was an actual hint system on some of the more trickier puzzles, the comments the npc's makes aren't always that helpful. Give it a try if you like these types of games. I enjoyed myself enough with it to recommend :)

I'm a big fan of Cotton Game and this latest offering lived up to my high expectations of them. Can be quite challenging at times, but nothing that can't be solved with a bit of thought and patience. Well worth the price, especially with the introductory discount. I'd highly recommend it.
