It's awesome but I had to rage quit
For a game that's clearly a DOOM clone this thing runs like ass. I have a high end pc and can run games like Oblivion Remastered on high settings with zero issues but this game constantly freezes and crashes.
never played doom or really anything like this (atleast as of this review) but i was pleasantly surprised and i liked the graphics and art style more than i thought i would the different weapons were fun and i also liked the design of all the monsters it was seemingly a bit difficult though but that could just be me since i played on the easiest difficulty and im just awful at the game lmao ill definitely play the second game <3
good
Genuinely cannot believe this is a freeware game made on the GZDoom engine. As someone who's played multiple Total-Conversion doom games and grown up on multiple old-school FPS (Doom, Quake, etc), this was a lovely experience. The weapons feel fantastic; especially the super shotgun. Although the chaingun seems to have a little too long of a wind up at times? Or just gets stuck? Might be a skill issue on my side, but I definitely got in some tight moments. The entire design of the game just oozes style. The weapon designs are amazing; I am a big fan of the aesthetic of the flamethrower BGF equivalent [at least I think it is?] you get at Demon's Gate. I loved the monster designs. Personal favourite is the first Dreadnought fight and the flying Bloody Crosses (I think they're officially called the Afflicted?). Also the group you fight in Sentinel Keep was a evil decision, I love it. So was the start of Crucible. I purposely died to many enemies to learn their names. Loved the ending CG as well, that was a nice end to the game. Final Boss Spoilers: [spoiler] The Old King's fight was definitely a fun challenge. Playing on Ultra-Violence definitely made the fight harder than expect…
Me dio paralisis de dedo xd
