Mohrta

I enjoyed my time with Mohrta. It was a fairly straight forward action shooter adventure with light upgrade mechanics. That being said the whole vibe of the game was incredible. The artistic direction is so unique and captivating with lots of environmental story telling. The times where the music would start would completely elevate the emotional context of what was happening. The lack of music was also intriguing throughout certain levels. There were areas that felt fairly tense because everything was so quiet, with only the sound of the wind, water dripping, or distant screams and alien noises from creatures in the dark. I also felt the narrative was compelling enough to keep me engaged throughout. Nothing ground breaking but it was done well. The sound design was top notch in my opinion. There are 5 "worlds" with 3 levels in each, plus a bonus 6th area for the final boss of the game. There is a hub area where you upgrade weapons (which there are a lot, and some highly unique ones in each category), increase health and health item charges, and mana upgrades which facilitate special attacks with your weapons. Gorgeously weird art piece

This is an incredibly fun game with a decent amount of challenge. The world is beautifully designed and pairs well with the absolutely stellar soundtrack. I would recommend this game if you are looking for a more story driven game then action packed as the combat is quite simple. It's more of a Zelda meets half-life, it has a non linear way to reach the end of the game with nice rewards if you do explore away from the main path. In the end I loved this game much more than I would have thought after first seeing it in my youtube recommended.

Very nice "boomer shooter". Art style is phenomenal, from maps, enemeies, npcs and bosses - design is just unbelivebly good. Interesting world building wih themes of a corruption and dying worlds. Little silliness and humour are among quiete serious topics adds charm to the game. Weapon selection is nice but game doesnt take stars from tthe sky. A few interesting weapons but just what you would expect from this type of genre. Game is hard at the start and after world 3 when you start to upgrade weapons it becomes easier which is a little downside. Would like if final boss was a little bit harder. The only real flaw i see is movement speed, without dash its painfully slow. Do yourself a favour and do "turbo 150" in console, such a quality of life imporvment.

this dev knows what made old school fromsoft level design so good. everything is strange in the best way. instantly one of my personal favorites.

A great boomer shooter with incredible world and character design. Rough around the edges, but that makes me like it more.
