    The Story So Far...

The Great Strange- a zone in which supernatural phenomena occur at an abnormal rate, where echoes of other worlds and ethereal beings converge and contort reality.

A special military group known as "The Hayward" was formed to investigate and destroy the anomalies within The Strange. For years, the Hayward had done an admirable job of monitoring, handling, and reverse-engineering elements of the Great Strange into their work. Among these Hayward operatives is where your remains found new life.

You are Hayward Generation VII 81363-7, a corpse swathed in iron and arcane. Though a newer model, you are no guest to the Strange and a formidable veteran of its wilds.

Recently, the Great Strange has begun to rapidly expand- its phenomena intensifying to an unseen degree. Current leads suggest the involvement of Hayward Generation I "Avlan", whose disappearance synchronizes with the Strange’s sudden proliferation.

Mission Objective: Enter the mining village of Kozanoda where Avlan was last spotted and apprehend the missing Gen I.

Use of lethal force is authorized. Use of paranormal apparatus is authorized. Exercise extreme caution when confronting Avlan. Minimize injuries to civilians and infrastructure. Attempt capture where possible. Mission subject may be terminated if need be.

Honestly super excited to see what Scumhead makes next (hoping for another FPS/boom shoot). Shrine 1 & 2 both really solid plus they're free. Vomitoreum, a great follow up. Mohrta is a huge surprise for me. Wasn't sure if I was really gonna like it or not, but it's really solid. Once you start to get better weapons and upgrades it becomes much better. Better in they way where the bosses aren't tedious, since there's so many boss battles. But they're all unique and cool. I'm only currently on Level 4 out of 5. But I can confidently recommend this game. Plus it's GZ Doom so bonus points.

Would be an awesome game if it weren't for the souls like elements. I am sick of them. Why do indie devs all make knock offs of the same 5 games. THE SAME 5 GAMES, INDIE DEVS ONLY KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE SAME 5 GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good. Art direction carries this game with everything else keeping up with that. If you want a decent-length souls-like (kinda. it's a shooter at heart) with gorgeous art, environments, and characters, this is it. Juli, The Dollmaker, the red upgrade being; all incredible, and they reminded me of Made in Abyss in the best way possible: cute and unsettling in the same breath. There are too many weapons, but the in-game sacrifice system does a good job of letting you cut through the bloat and settle into a loadout that feels yours. Boss fights could've bitten a little harder - found myself finishing first or second attempt, but every single one is visually striking and fits its setting perfectly. And the biggest compliment I can give: I actually finished it. Bad habit of forgetting to do so.

Interesting game. Sometimes a little too easy.

Literally such a cool aesthetic and so much fun! It's like all the best fantasy sci-fi interdimensional spacefaring elements of Minecraft's lore mixed with the bizarre characters and themes from Adventure Time all wrapped up and served on something that plays like DOOM
