Blair Witch

The game’s strongest recreation of the movie is undoubtedly its atmosphere. With all the dark forest, flashlight, old-school camcorder, and excellent environmental sound design, it did a great job of recreating the found-footage style of the movie. Another nice design choice is Bullet, your dog. Most of the game takes place in the forest, which is extremely easy to get lost in, but the game actually does a pretty good job with its subtle guidance. Even though sometimes you may still have no idea where you're supposed to go, that's when Bullet takes on the role of a guide and helps lead you in the right direction. Because having Bullet by your side gives you a strong sense of security, his presence also works as a kind of tension release. In some sections, the devs deliberately take him away from you to heighten the sense of tension and unease, while also helping control the pacing. However, the game also has quite a few problems. First of all, while the game is wrapped in the shell of a psychological horror game, it actually feels more like running around a forest for hours and occasionally getting startled by random things ([spoiler]and I say “startled” because the monsters are…

I got this game on sale for $2.50, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. The game has great graphics smooth movement a nice atmosphere a nice story, and an interesting plot twist that will definitely surprise you. It kinda has Silent Hill vibes, so if this interests you, you’ll definitely love this game. The game also has a nice world to explore, with a pet that helps you along so you don’t feel lonely.

First it won't launch, but if you have that issue then check the discussion tab of the game, solution's there. But it's just not fun or scary, there is no real tension buildup, only short, predictable "Oh no scary monster' sections, good idea, poorly executed

I got fed up of walking around the woods in circles in the first part I manage to find a hat that belongs to the person you are looking for and the dog your companion smells the hat and you would think that the dog might be of some help tracking the scent but NO the dog barks a lot and you would think that he has found something but NO.

This was a pretty good game. The sound design was awesome and helped build tension. The story was decent. The monsters and the combat were probably the worst part of the game, but I don't think they were really the point. I did run into a bug where the dog kept running in a loop and I didn't know where to go. There are a few bugs in the game, but I didn't find anything that ruined the experience. I simply Googled the exact spot where the dog was looping to progressed pass the bug, then I forgot about it until I wrote this review. Overall, I thought it was a creepy game with a few well placed jump scares that kept you on the edge of your seat.

Very scary, but very high quality.
