About Sir Quest and the Temple of Apollo

Legend has it that an ancient scroll discovered in the ruins of the Library of Alexandria reveals that when Daedalus escaped from the Labyrinth of the Minotaur, he hid his flying machine in a temple dedicated to the god Apollo, built over the caverns of the powerful witch Sibyl.

Guarded by the arcane power of magic and the mechanical ingenuity of Daedalus, the winged artifact has remained hidden in the temple, until now...

Nineteenth day of the third month in the year of our Lord 1134.

Following the scroll found in Alexandria, the treasure hunter Sir Mathew Wheel sets sail in search of the lost myth.

Here begins the adventure...

A 3D medieval adventure where the main character is a knight known as Sir Quest, famed for his treasure hunting. The game takes place inside a Greek temple where we must find a mythological artifact against the clock by solving puzzles while facing various enemies from Greek mythology.

Sword fighting with a mouse movement system, randomly generated puzzles, an upgrade shop, a mini-game to save progress, and a very original story.

The flying artifact is protected by a door with a hydraulic mechanism of chromatic density combination devised by Archimedes.

The objective is to pour the liquid corresponding to the chromatic density of the locks into the fountain and obtain the artifact before the time of the destiny hourglass runs out. Archimedes' hydraulic screw will transport the liquid from the fountain to the opening mechanism.

To obtain the chromatic liquids from the lion fountains, you must solve the temple puzzles while battling the temple's protectors. These are bronze automaton warriors forged by Daedalus, whose mechanism uses Orichalcum, the legendary Atlantean metal discovered by Plato.

This product barely works. It lists "Windows 10 or higher" in requirements section - yeah I don't think so. I was greeted with a "Severe Exception! Error Code 16013" when I first launched it. The only way to bypass this was to a. disable Steam overlay as that game seems to hate it, b. set compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2 and c. keep verifying game integrity from time to time. Even then, I can't get it to launch consistently as it tends to get stuck during start up! If you persevere (as I did) and manage to get into the game, you are in for a treat and it's not the good kind. You are some knight in a square dark room trying to open a door by solving puzzles. There is infinite enemy spawn to make your life difficult and you are on a timer - when the timer or your health bar runs out, it's game over. The difficulty increases -as you progress through the main puzzle- by adding new enemy types, but overall they are very slow and easy to beat or outrun. Well, that's until you are faced with the greatest adversary in this game: no, not the fire Minotaur or the stone hand; it's the bloody platforming section. Never in my live have I experienced worst jump controls in a video game! …
