Siralim 2

Siralim 2 is a remarkably dense monster-collecting RPG that places mechanical depth, long-term progression, and player experimentation far above cinematic presentation. Developed by Thylacine Studios and published by Thylacine Studios LLC, it takes the familiar idea of assembling a party of creatures and expands it into an enormous web of breeding, equipment crafting, spell customization, dungeon exploration, resource management, and increasingly elaborate character builds. Its retro appearance may initially suggest a relatively simple RPG, but the systems beneath that pixel-art exterior are considerably more ambitious. The basic gameplay loop revolves around entering procedurally generated realms, completing objectives, fighting enemies, gathering resources, discovering treasure, and returning home with materials that contribute to further progression. Randomized environments and quests give each expedition some variation, although the procedural structure inevitably produces repetition after extended play. What keeps the formula compelling is the constant sense of advancement. Nearly every excursion provides something useful, whether that means a new creature, crafting resources…

Another part of the Silarim serie - monster collecting and RPG with rich mechanics and complexity. obviously the game was further and further developed each title - coming from Silarim 1 there is lot of upgrades and gods are good Idea. There is even story but very very simplified and writing is quite meh.. so as to previous title I do not recommend play Silarim 2 - no reason grind too much in it over successor titles and story wise it bring very little to the table (though overall it was addicitve and enjoyable especially over Silarim 1)

Just like with the first game, whoever decided on the walking speed should be fired.

Siralim 2 is a creature collector dungeon crawler roguelite, like the first game but with a bit more direction. Instead of aimless dungeon diving, you get a boss fight every 5 or so levels with a bit of story, like about as much of a story Borderlands 1 had, but that enough to keep me interest till the need to power griding appears. The UI is improved, Getting monsters no longer need 3 cores, but just one. Every shop/person of interest is on one floor, easy to find. In my 7 hours of playing, I seen way more creatures then my 7 hours of the first game. Greatly improvement of the original. Hope the third game continues that.

Trying out new creature ability combos is tons of fun. Game can get a bit grindy, with several different overlapping systems you can improve/level-up, but sometimes that's exactly what I want!

If you enjoy JRPG style grinding, dungeon crawling, monster collection, and party management, then you'll love the Siralim series. Siralim 2 looks similar to the first aesthetically, but it adds a lot of new features and some quality-of-life changes. The new features feel like natural evolutions of the first game, so I like them. This is the kind of game you can sink dozens, or even hundreds, of hours into. Do note, the mechanics are a lot different from other RPGs/roguelikes you may have played. In the very early game, you might find yourself stuck in a battle because the enemy creature's trait is stacking their defense to infinity. That brings me to an important point, you need to be able to be okay with dying, possibly a lot. Some bosses have abilities that seem unwinnable if you don't scout them and find what strategy you need to win. If you tend to blunt force one strategy and save scum all the time, you might not like this game. There's lots of cool monsters, and the deities you meet all have interesting personalities. As long as you don't take it too seriously, the writing in this game is pretty funny and engaging. I recommend asking each deity to describe their realm…
