About Skelattack

Play Skelattack and save the Underworld in this fun and unique action platformer!

Being dead is not so bad when you have the Underworld to live in. An expansive world inhabited by quirky, charming and sometimes deadly inhabitants of the afterlife, the Underworld includes Aftervale, a happy hub where the dead come to spend eternity.

You are Skully, member of the newly deceased and just when you start to get the hang of being dead, your newfound home and friends are attacked by humans. Instead of seeking gold or other treasure, they kidnap Aftervale's elder skeleton Elzedon and then go after the magic that kindles the spirits of the dead: the Blue Flame. Together with your best bat friend Imber, you have to jump, slash, and flap your way though the Underworld and stop the human threat!

Features:
Versatile and fluid platform gaming.
Visually rich art style.
Fight the Humans before they plunder your un-life!
Extensive check point system of Blue Flames to practice your jumps!

WARNING: YOU WANT TO STAY AND READ, ill keep it as short and to the point as possible 1-What a disappointng piece of sh*t (how did KONAMI green lit this crap?) 2- NOT A METROIDVANIA (main reason i bought this crap was that tag), its a precission platformer (genre i hate with VERY few exceptions) with bad platforming and unforgiving enviromental damage of which MOST is 1HKO 3-it takes a page from souls-like games in that you leave PART of your loot (so far crystals-currency) where you die, now if you died on a 1KHO trap and go back to pick it up, you WILL die again, but the absorption of the previously lost loot will be so slow that your death will be computed faster and you will have lost the previously dropped AND a part of your remaining loot, so depending on where you died, DO NOT try to get it back 4-the story is cartoony and corny 5- in adition to traps, you have enemies, who shoot through walls, ALWAYS know where you are, and have 360° by half the screen range. These dont 1HKO, but still imagine, you have to make jump through a corridor two sprites wide, with 1HKO spikes above and below, while a boomerang axe flies down the middle of it (so far, you cant block, parry, nor da…

The gameplay is engaging at first, once you get used to the wall jump controls, but then it gets annoying and boring. The combat is too basic. The one-hit kills are cheap. The humor doesn't reach me. I couldn't bring myself to finish this game.

this is like the biggest C+ game i ever played. completely competent and just gets the job done but doesnt particularly excel in anything besides some amusing dialog, and there's nothing really wrong with that it's an extremely tiny game that doesn't waste your time very much and i didn't expect much from it either. there's plenty of signs upfront that this game is super small and i was on the money about that when i played it. the level design and combat are all super shallow and have the weirdest balance of lazily spamming instadeath spikes everywhere so itd be unfairly hard but because of the way your double jump and walljump work as well as death being cheap and healing being cheap and money being easy to get the game ends up being extremely easy to exploit with your basic and no further evolved abilities, so it ends up balancing out with lopsided poorly balanced design. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird i know. overall yeah it's fine the mixed reviews are accurate but i'm still gonna ♥♥♥♥♥ about it being 20 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars when this game is nowhere near worth that much: hollow knight's 15 bucks and its 10 times the size of this game. maybe the pricing is konamis fault i dont ♥♥♥♥…
