About Skeleton Scramble Deluxe

Skeleton Scramble Deluxe is a fast-paced, head-to-head real-time strategy game, with a focus on local multiplayer.

You will take on the role of a necromancer, gathering resources to summon an army of skeletons and frantically building a gauntlet of defenses to fend off your opponent, (or a computer-controlled bot.) An innovative upgrade system lets you build units on top of one another to create new creatures and buildings, adding strategic depth without adding complexity to the controls.

Controls are simple and easy to learn, allowing new players to jump right into the action! Play one-handed using only the mouse, connect multiple controllers, or play head-to-head with a friend using a shared keyboard! Your army will move and attack autonomously, allowing you to focus on what to build, and when/where to build it. Most games last under 5 minutes, allowing you to experiment with bold new strategies, or rotate between players in group settings. Maps can be generated randomly, allowing for a more chaotic experience.

Planned Launch Features:
  • 2 player local versus with 5 control schemes
  • 10 CPU-controlled bots with a variety of strategies and difficulties
  • Interactive Tutorial
  • Score-based Survival Mode
  • Rogue-lite Gauntlet Mode with stacking player-selected curses

✦ AI summary

Players praise this streamlined RTS game for its solid, bug-free design that strips away complexity while maintaining engaging gameplay and strategic depth through diverse buildings and unit options. Most appreciate the quick 5-minute matches, smooth local co-op functionality, and good value, though they note the relatively limited playtime and suggest it's better suited for short gaming sessions rather than marathon play. The common sentiment is that it's a well-made, fun strategy game that does what it sets out to do effectively, though some mention waiting for the upcoming sequel before inv

I usually avoid rating games but seeing as this game is rated perfectly and all- I thought I'd join in on the fun (I hope this ages well). Game is great. It's a very manageable RTS game with simple core mechanics and enough spice/diversity of gameplay to make every game feel just that much more unique despite it's simplicity. It's what Footsies (the game) is to the FGC. It's good and it's solid and it's bug-free and it's worth every penny (although I, regrettably, got it on sale). Singleplayer modes are great and the Remote Play local co-op is very smooth for both parties. *Be aware* - local co-op means only one friend has to buy it for you both to play (although I highly recommend supporting a dev like this)

Less simple than it appears at first glance, lots of fun! The controls are a little awkward, I wish you could rebind them

Saw this in a reddit thread about strategy games in Gamemaker. Not really close to what I'm trying to make but I picked it up anyways. Pretty fun for what it is, not gonna lie. Games are like 5 minutes long and you don't even use a mouse. It's very simplistic, but it has everything it needs to have to be enjoyable.

a fun time worth the price tag, but don't expect hundreds of hours in playtime theres a sequel in the works, so maybe wait for that to release

Very surprised about this game. It's a somewhat strange mix between RTS and turn-based combat, with a sprinkle of a MOBA, while removing a lot of the clutter to streamline the gameplay. And it works somehow. It has very interesting buildings and upgrades, with enough variation to allow for different strategies. So far I've found a couple of strategies that allowed me to beat several difficulty levels, though I haven't fully discovered the optimal use of some units yet. Looking forward to continue playing this game.
