The best slash so far6 found this helpful
I played the original Slash It games almost a decade ago and remembered enjoying them, and I finally had a whim and played Slash It Ultimate. I can definitely say that this does not hold up well, and a big part of it is because of intentional design choices. Slash It Ultimate tries to be this multi-packaged rhythm game with multiple different game modes. However, the issue is that every single one of these game modes is subpar with flaws. For example, they have a four key arrow mode where instead of having each arrow be in their own place, they decide to sprinkle different arrows in different lines at different times. This is just artificially making it "harder" by messing with your habits. Word mode also eats into other words when two letters can both be typed in multiple words. There are other examples of this too, but the design really just is subpar. Additionally, I remember this game being $5 tops back in the days, so i was shocked when they are now charging $30 for this. Obviously it still ends up being dirt cheap since they discount it significantly, but this is some shady business practice of jacking prices up. Overall, this might have been better served in its tim…5 found this helpful

wow. Rhythmic games with music are the theme. I'm telling you the truth, this is top for your money
I received this game as part of a random CD Key purchase, and I really wanted to like this, but it ultimately was let down by it's development. The concept of this game is completely up my street, I really enjoy music themed games, but there's a few things that let this down. Straight away, the music choice is really limited, particularly when the developers are charging £24.99 for this out of sale (which it's not worth at all BTW!). But, even if you can look past the limited music selection, the game itself it's really buggy. For example, I'll find I'm going through a track and the game will just bug out for a short while and I'll lose my multiplier. Also, some of the keys don't sync at all with the beats of the songs. I could go on, but it's just not good. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this at all - and if despite having read all this you want to give it a go, then please, please, please, don't buy this at £24.99. It seems this game regularly goes on a 95% sale, so just add it to your wish list if you must!
Horrible in every way imagineable.
