About Slasher: Origins
Slasher: Origins is a chaotic, 2.5D, auto-attack survival game with rogue-lite elements and noir-anime storytelling. Unlock powerful heroes, create builds of unique abilities, and survive the escalating inferno of Mephistopheles’ underworld.
Noir-Anime Art Style Immerse yourself in a striking visual experience, combining the sharp, stylized aesthetics of anime with the dark, moody tones of film noir. Every world you enter is a vivid yet ominous landscape, brought to life with meticulous detail and a haunting atmosphere.
Choose Your HeroesChoose from a total of 10 heroes, each with a distinct backstory, abilities, and playstyle. Start with three formidable characters and unlock more as you progress. Each hero has a unique starting weapon and abilities that evolve as you level up.
Deep Progression System
Collect Experience and Gems during your runs to empower your heroes. Unlock new skills, weapons, and abilities with every level up, creating different builds that can withstand the onslaught of demonic forces.
Challenging Dark Worlds
Conquer eight increasingly difficult worlds, each guarded by a powerful boss. These worlds grow more perilous with each step, demanding smart build tactics and precise movement timing to survive.
Hero Customisation Unlock and equip new skins for your heroes, personalizing your experience as you battle the forces of darkness. Unleash powerful "Animated Ultras," cinematic finishing moves that devastate your enemies in style.
Endless Play
With procedural generated levels, countless hero builds, and an ever-increasing challenge, no two runs are the same. Dive back in to unlock new characters, worlds, and abilities, and see how far you can push your limits.

A highly addictive game. Perfect for playing for hours while listening to music or a podcast in the background.4 found this helpful
Something really messed up about the hitboxes in this engine. That and things don't do what they are supposed to.2 found this helpful
The game you and your weeaboo friends in middle school were TOTALLY going to make one day. Some kids get pushed into the janitor's closet at school and find it's a portal to the demon world and they turn into badasses with katanas and scarves and there's buttrock and all that. Its extremely charming. My biggest issues is the lack of controller vibration settings so longer runs just means your controller is rumbling nonstop and some of the stages are kinda eye hurting but you could do worse with five bucks if you're into the style.1 found this helpful
played slasher: origins and honestly it's pretty dope you're basically blasting through demon-packed levels with quick auto-attacks and slick dodges the anime-noir style looks hella cool and sets a chill but dark mood you got a bunch of different heroes to pick from, each with their own vibe and upgrades so you can mix it up every run the levels change up each time, so it never gets stale the progression system's solid too, with upgrades that stick around and keep you coming back combat's smooth and fun without being a headache overall it's got that dark, edgy feel but still keeps things exciting curious to see what kinda wild stuff they'll add next
+ better than Vampire Survivors
