Sleeping Dogs

With GTA4 the best "GTA-Like" ever. And I highly doubt that GTA6 can top that. If you haven't played this one here, or GTA4, or both, you owe it to yourself to do so!

What a ride!

An amazing 2012 game which surely holds up to this day. Enjoyable story, amazing combat and atmospheric gameplay. Makes you feel like you are in a John Woo film (which obviously influenced the development heavily). The voice acting is superb and as far as I can tell most actors are actually stars in their respective fields. One negative aspect of it was the driving that feels very clumsy and cartooney. Also, the gun play is kind of limited. Seems like it was the intention of the developers to make guns something that did not occur every time, focusing more on traditional melee fighting. As such, gunplay is limited 99% of the time to special missions. Another negative aspect is the very unworthiness of the skills system. Basically your upgrades do not affect gameplay at all. Overall: 8/10 solid. Worthy buy if you are into open world games.

A cult classic. Highly overlooked open world beat 'em up.

This game was quite surprising, I didn't expect much, but it had such a great combat system that I wanted to play it more and more. And the graphics was unexpectedly good for the year it was released.

Last time i played it is a bit longer ago.... However i still can remember many things. What i liked is the fighting with rifles aswell the hand/foot combat. What i did not liked / found a bit short of comming was the whole story. There was no Bonding between my char and the characters in the "Yakuza".[spoiler] It felt rushed and by the time one known char died, i have not felt anything, because while my playable char was his best buddy of all time me as the player barely knew him, [/spoiler] Nevertheless, i would still recommend the game as i had plenty of good time playing it. But @Devs : Whats about an uncensored version for us here in old G?
