Slime Climb

For a dev who did it all on their own, this is pretty good (and it would make a fantastic little mobile game). The controls took a sec to figure out, but once I understood the idea it was pretty addicting trying to get moving around and jumping to various places. It's like a bouncing mechanic and that could definitely be picked up by other games because it adds something more to the whole platforming genre. As someone who doesn't like platformers, this one was straightforward and didn't feel intimidating. I'm planning to dump more time into this once I finish the first Mass Effect.

"Slime Climb" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This is a painfully generic, poorly made 2D retro pixelcrap platformer where you control a "slime" and do some really mediocre platforming. At least this is isn't an asset flip... the assets are too ugly for any self respecting asset creator to publish them. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Game…

Невероятно динамичная и сложная полоса препятствий, где нужно не просто дойти до финиша, но и обогнать толпу соперников, толкающихся и мешающих друг другу. Постоянно поднимающаяся слизь добавляет адреналина, заставляя двигаться быстрее и избегать падения. Любое неверное движение – и ты оказываешься внизу толпы, снова пробиваясь наверх. Это может быть невероятно раздражающим, но и очень забавным, особенно когда сталкиваешь других игроков в слизь. Успешное прохождение Slime Climb – это настоящее достижение, вызывающее чувство удовлетворения и триумфа. Этот раунд отлично демонстрирует суть Fall Guys: простая, но увлекательная механика, случайность, юмор и море фана. Однозначно один из лучших раундов в игре, делающих её такой увлекательной и незабываемой. Единственный минус – слишком уж много желающих "помочь" упасть в слизь.
