Slumberer's Universe

This game is a true masterpiece. It's so unbelievably underrated, and I think it deserves much more recognition. I didn't expect its lore to hit me this hard (it would probably hit even harder if I hadn’t already played Omori, which emotionally finished me). I can definitely see the inspiration from Omori in some moments—it felt like being in Black Space again. I even named Alph Sunny and the pet Kel lol. I also like the combat here; it's original and fun, might be a bit difficult at first but you'll get used to it the more you fight. The characters are well written, I really liked the interactions we had with Elaine. At first, the two of them didn't seem to like each other but once they reached the point where they had to work together, they realized how similar they were and how much they could relate to each other. Alph's grief and emotions about Walter's death felt real and human which is another thing I like about the characters here. Overall for those who are looking for a RPG maker game with amazing and thrilling lore, give it a try. This game would really need a fanbase.

It is a heartfelt story with Walter, Alph's deceased best friend being the center of the story for the most part. During Alph's adventure we discover a lot of hidden memories and soon we get a picture about what has transpired, and how deeply it affected Alph's mental health. With not being able to confide or rely onto someone, Alph buried some memories about Walter deeply away, Memories which we have to uncover and confront once again on Alph's quest. Great RPG Maker game

(I received this game for free for play testing this game before release) Seeing a game that seemed like to be a small project that I had no idea about to grow to such an impassioned game about sensitive topics, with immersive world, memorable characters, and a banger soundtrack, is really all I hoped for—and it really passed that. The whole game felt like it was made with care and love towards every aspect of the game. Every chapter had it's own theme and something new added to the game, which made every play session a thrill. Horror was really well integrated to this game, with sad theme around it, and it felt natural and unique, with few parts that I have not seen in any other game yet. I would definitely love to see same kind of game focused only in the horror parts, forgetting about the JRPG mechanics. Talking about the JRPG mechanics, there were put so much care to making it feel quick, responsive and really engaging, adding new mechanics every chapter. The music on the other hand was finished to the prim, every track fitting in its place and never getting bored of them; I can't wait for the soundtrack to be released. The characters were a real roller coaster of emotions…

Loved this game from start to finish. I thought the story was quite good; there were parts that actually made me feel sad, especially near the end—the fight with the World Destroyer and the part with Serafina made me tear up a bit. The game also has a great soundtrack; the music really brings this game together. This is a game I definitely recommend.

I played the intro to chapter one of this game and almost immediately regretted my choice. I came to this game expecting an OMORI-like experience, however I'd say that too much of the story was revealed too early and it's too specific with the dark themes (e.g. actively saying what the character wants to do, etc). As well as this, the pixel art was very unpolished and looked more like they spent 5 minutes in microsoft paint to get most of these assets. The movement was also too smooth for my liking, there's no way to fully customise keybinds, and it was just overall unpolished. Overall, this game wasn't really for me (despite the psychological pixel-arty dark horror games being one of the main genres I enjoy). However, I've seen that other people love this game, and I can see why others would like it.
