I published my friend Greg's zine. It sold like hotcakes. Then I published his chapbook. It sold way better. I then use the profits to publish a popular author. It flopped. On top of that, readers cancelled him. On the flipside, my friend Greg gave a lecture on the proclivities of blah blah blah... I zoned out. But, it was a smash. Some time later, people who purported to represent the CIA tried to extort me. When I refused to give in, the game said bye bye. 42/10. Recommended.8 found this helpful
This game feels like it shouldn't exist on this plane of reality, but it does and thank god for that. A good game, that has more to tell than what you can hear.4 found this helpful
It took me a grueling 18 months, but I built a catalog of more than 30 highly-regarded books and raised our average first print revenue to nearly a million dollars. A completely authentic publishing sim.3 found this helpful
A very simplistic DIY publishing sim that looks and sounds like it came out a good 25 years ago. Print books, get money, buy better equipment, repeat. Sounds repetitive, and it sort of is, but the charming presentation and decent sense of humor keep it entertaining for just long enough to warrant the 1$ pricetag.2 found this helpful
It is a simple game with some nice music on it. Graphics are like something you see from the Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 days but they aren't the important part of the game. You get to publish all kinds of book types, you can sell them online, in stores and elsewhere, your authors can face cancellation and you got to decide whether to stick with them or not.2 found this helpful
The story of an unknown indie publishing house skyrocketing to industry dominance after the controversial release of "Alf Alpha", an exposé chronicling the toxic male-dominated culture of the pro puppeteering scene in the 1980s.2 found this helpful
