Its fun at times but you have to grind out short stories which are the only type of writing that actually make money that could earn you a living in a reasonable time frame. You are forced to move into a new house with higher rent for no reason and you have to make 50,000 to buy it and it doesn't even offer any improvements over the previous apartment so you just waste all the time making that money. It takes forever grinding up to 10,000 fans just to be able to publish a novel, and I don't know why it sends you mail to write your first one when you are nowehere near that goal.

Concept has been done before to death. This is nothing new, innovative, or interesting. Also, as an (admittedly unsuccessful) author myself I know from experience that this game has very little to do with reality.

It saddens me to see that this is now a dead game from a dead indie studio. I played this back in 2021 just before the pandemic ended, and I came back to it after 5 years because, well, random nostalgia I guess. It's a rather simplistic game with casual playthrough but it can get a bit grindy in the middle. The protagonist is an author trying to earn his livings by writing forms of literature. The gameplay loop can get a bit tedious after like 4-5 playthroughs, however, it is very satisfying when you finally get the ending you want. Though the gameplay is a bit unrealistic if you are looking at it from a 'realism' POV (like, most fiction authors nowadays do not write non-fiction unless it's an autobiography but since the timeline appears to have started from like 1990, it's a bit more realistic when you think about it when many authors did do that) but it's understandable as a gameplay mechanic, even though I believe there could have been a better way. The game could have been made even better with more events and an actual story for the author/protagonist. The "writer's block" game is kinda fun, but it seems to me that they get harder along the way or it's just me suffering fr…

A relaxing simulation and strategy game. Improve your writing style and become a famos writer...... Sounds easier than it is, espacially if your not a nativ speaker like I. Then the riddles could be a challenge. Now played the 7th time through the game and still discover something new.

Very addictive game for people who like to use their creativity in thinking up storylines, feature articles, and the like. There are enough genres and topics to mix together to keep things interesting, and it's a fun challenge to figure out which genres and topics go together to produce the highest rated, most profitable article/story/book. Building up skills and expertise is also another factor in the "grind." I honestly wasn't expecting this game to be so addictive, but I played for 7 hours straight, from night until the sun came up. If you like games where you (micro)manage things, you may like this game, especially if you're a bookworm or writer. It can become repetitive, but I didn't feel any fatigue even at the 7-hour mark. In the long run, the game may not be very replayable, but I say enjoy the ride the first time around! My only gripe is that it's way too easy to get bankrupt (and basically "die") after you fulfill the "Buy new house" goal. The house costs $50k but I suggest you have at LEAST $80k (better, $100k) before you buy it or else your monthly bills/rent will eat up all your cash super fast. I also wish the inspiration meter went a tiny bit slower, and I w…

Loved it. It was very additive but I think the appeal may be to a niche game player. Everything ran well and I am looking forward to playing again soon after numerous updates.
