Soccer Kid was my favourite game for 20 years (1993-2013) so it pains me to say this, but this is a terrible port. As the other reviews have said, this is a laggy Dos version with no controller support that you can play for free on some websites. Unless someone releases a proper fixed version on Steam, avoid this like the plague. Glad I got my refund. If you ever manage to find a version of this game that actually works properly, I recommend it. This version, not so much.19 found this helpful
I really loved this game as a kid - an enjoyable side scroller, with interesting features, good settings, good music and memories of World Cup 94 all tied in. There were many versions but as far as I know I had the best, which was the Amiga. I don't know what this port is based on but it's so disappointing - the scrolling and controls don't even work properly together, which makes it virtually unplayable. Was it really that difficult to release a properly functioning version of this for the price?13 found this helpful

Do not recommend. This was my favorite game as a kid. Played many hours on a 3DO, this is the worst port. No controller support? Why?1 found this helpful
Takes me back to when i was little! :) simple platform game and just how I remember it (less the floppy disks!) I was so shocked to see it on here as I thought it was forgotten about or I was the only one who could remember it! It did take me a while to understand where the controls for the game were on the keyboard as it was originally made to be played with a joystick, but once you've figured that out its a fab!
