"OH NO, OUR TABLE" short and sweet i like the sfx
good
A minimalist shooter with a beautiful presentation, wonderful music, and challenging yet strangely relaxing gameplay, Solid Aether is in my opinion the best "training shmup" around. The graphics are as minimalist as you can get, but they are also incredibly clear and easy to read. The game is very challenging, with low key graphics, and music that get's you excited, but not so excited you make mistakes. I didn't feel overwhelmed at any time during play, and every time I died (lots and lots of times) it was always very clear what killed me, and how I should have avoided it. There are no cheap deaths, only teachable moments. The only thing I feel like this game is missing is bombing, and that only because I need more practice with bombing and would love to practice in this game! Also the music is wonderful and very listenable even if you're not one to listen to video game music outside of a gaming session (like me!).
