As someone who never played the original wii version, I had a good time with this and don't really understand the mixed opinions. The writing is a little crap but doesn't outright ruin the game, and its a tad disappointing that the world progression is essentially one fantastic 3D/2D hybrid stage then a bunch of miniature challenge stages after, but picking this up for an hour or so after work I never put it down wishing I'd spent my time on something else. If you like sonic, or fun little platforming games, grab it on sale and you'll probably have fun.
I don't know, I like it. The only mod I installed is 21:9 support. Got it on discount of course.
I refunded Sonic Lost World to get this. It's a GREAT Wii port. I kinda prefer Eggman as a laughing stock rather than a father of Sage. And thanks to owning this, I can have ALL 10 Wisp Emojis on my profile.
