Seems the re-release has broken the input configuration menu. The game also isn't patched to include the soundtrack, the game expects you to have the music on a CD but who still has an optical drive in 2024? It was okay back in the day, but the modern titles like RedOut and Pacer are so much better.

I actually love janky and cheap racing games, and this one seemed to have a good design and atmosphere at least. But the tecnical issues on this game made me refund on principles alone, despite having payed less than a dollar in it. The intro screen doesn's load properly, no controller support or resolution scaling and the music doesn't work (which is quite good if you listen to it on youtube). This game might as well have never left myabandonware because you are paying for a straight up PORT of a 20+ year old game with the no other software adaptation whatsoever.

Game is amazingly hot trash holy smokes man. Literally left the map on the first race and ending up locking myself from going to the next level from what it seems. Game exist only to add to your steam library collection and see that ticker increase by an extra game.

I recommend this game to anyone who likes futuristic racing games from the early 2000s. This was exactly as I remember when playing as a kid. I still have the CD version from back then. Very fun game.
