About Redout 2

The fastest racing game in the universe.

Redout 2 is a tribute to classic arcade racing games and the sequel to the critically acclaimed Redout, where racing through the dystopian wastelands of a semi-abandoned Earth is one of the galaxy’s most popular sports.

Reach impossible speeds in exhilarating futuristic races across an extensive single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer. Deep control systems, robust hovership customization and a killer soundtrack make Redout 2 the premier anti-gravity racer.

KEY FEATURES

Speed and Control - In the tradition of Anti-Gravity racing classics like Wipeout and F-Zero, experience blazing fast speeds and an intuitive driving system that makes Redout 2 a blast to pick up and play, but also rewarding for those prepared to master the super-high skill ceiling. Bend, loop and swoop through the most insane twists and jumps in racing game history.

Extensive Career Mode - Fly through hundreds of events across 36 unique racetracks - all of which are reversible! From Arena Races and Time Attacks to Last Man Standing and intense Boss Races, dart past the competition and dominate the finish line.

Competitive Multiplayer - Race against others in intense 12-player online multiplayer action. Dive into fresh challenges with regularly-added custom content, alongside seasons that include unique aesthetic rewards.

Comprehensive Customization - Choose from 12 distinct chassis and fully customize your own hovership with an incredible selection of propulsors, stabilizers, rudders, intercoolers, flaps, magnets, wings, spoilers, rocket engines, paints and more! Create and share your best high-speed highlights with Photo Mode.

i like the first game much more. this one is blured with strange color pallet, less sense of speed and physical movement

Probably the best non-combat zero-g racer out there right now.

first one was faster and had none of the annoying lore dumps

UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES AND FORCED TUTORIALS IN PLENTY, where they litterally stop your vehicle to tell you how to "strife" I got no patience for bullcrap like that.

This game has outstanding visuals/graphics, and fluid driving mechanics, it seems like this is where the studio spent the overwhelming majority of their time. These two parts make up 70% of the game experience for me.. However the remaining 30% is where the game is really flawed and disappointing... Before I get into the flaws, I want to emphasize that in the short time I've played this game, I really love the amount of passion and talent that the studio's workers put into. As an F-Zero fan, this 1) Similar to Redout 1, this game DOES NOT feature replay/ghost data in time trials. Why this was overlooked/not prioritized is beyond me. This game has a rewind feature, so they are clearly capable of storing ghost data. 2) Time trials no longer show you deltas comparing your checkpoint to your fastest checkpoint ran. This is partly due to the fact you only race 1 lap in time trials and thats your time, as opposed to Redout 1 where its your FASTEST lap (out of any number of laps). However, it would be good if trials compared your checkpoints with your personal best... or perhaps with a specific ghost!!! 3) Time trial leader boards show ALL vehicle "classes/power levels" in the sa…

buy if you like to go fast some people are saying this is one of the harder ag racers to get into for new players but honestly this is the first ag racer ive ever played and im flying through tracks without issue. its very challenging and complex with an absurd skill ceiling, but the controls are really responsive and the ui is very easy to read, so once you get a feel for combining turning and strafing the tracks start to feel pretty intuitive. optimal boost usage perpetually leaving you one touch from death was a stroke of genius and will have your palms sweating while you whiteknuckle the ♥♥♥♥ out of your controller for an entire run. very intense and extremely fun. !!also note for new players, the game defaults to an easier difficulty with assisted controls and inverted pitch. you can choose whatever difficulty you want (and pitch settings i guess...) but if you actually want to learn how to play the game id highly recommend turning all the assisted controls off. its way more fun that way.
