Space Smack!

This is a pretty cool game but I think that about half of the game's functionality is lost if you're playing it by yourself. A controller is required, the player is represented by floating hands (1 or 2 hands, depending on the mini-game), and you're trying to manipulate objects in the environment to complete an objective. https://youtu.be/6paYLDVKrz4 There are maps where you're trying to guide a ball down a track with one hand to see who finishes first, maps where you are picking things up with two hands to place them in a receptacle to get points, and a map where you’re trying to get a spaceship to its destination by keeping it fueled and trying to correct error codes by pushing things back into the wall. This is another game from SMU Guildhall and I liked it a lot. I wish that there were an AI that I could play against but Steam’s Remote Play Together is enabled, I just don’t know anyone else with a controller. I liked the UI a lot, the level design was good and challenging, I wish there was a little bit more of a pause before each level so I could read all of the instructions, and the explanation of how to use the controls was done VERY well.

For single player it's not very fun. I was actually fairly disappointed that the game controls through floating hands rather than what I expected which was more something along the lines of Fusion Frenzy. It makes doing each minigame relatively annoying. SP doesn't have bots so the MP focused games are boring. The one single player only mode is okay but not enough to keep playing. You basically have to manage fuel by choosing from one of three things, keep pushing in these boxes and eject bombs from the right colored portal thing. It has a few difficulties that add new mechanics with each difficulty. There's one MP only game and I couldn't play that. It's probably pretty fun with other players, but it's just not that engaging alone. If I could give it a mixed review I would, but as a person who probably won't have the ability to play locally with people on PC it's just not fun. I can easily see how it could be more fun with others. While there aren'jt too many minigames, each minigame does at least have a few different types to choose from which change it up a bit.
