About Space Station Loma: OPERATIONS

space

2149: More than a hundred years ago, mankind successfully made their step into space. They started settlements on Moon, Mars, and Europa and eventually expanded beyond the solar system.

These Are the Voyages Of Space Station Loma.

Following the pioneering spirit of your ancestors you volunteer for an expedition to the outer sectors of the known universe. It was your motivation, your qualification, and your value for mankind that convinced the committee to send you on this suici … supervisory mission to Space Station Loma.
You alone are responsible for the maintenance of the station.
Even after five years of training you don’t know whether you are really up to the job, but then again, how hard can it be to push some buttons, eh?

gameplay

TL;DR: You push buttons and pull levers, REALLY FAST (simon says like).

If you were looking for a non platform defense game in VR, you found it!
In this “space station explosion simulator” you play as an engineer who has to manage a space station at the end of the known universe. Besides the normal operation and repair of a space station, you will face multiple dangers, like asteroids, space pirates, and anomalies out there.
Are you the engineer we are looking for?

inspiration

Making the 1001st spaceship simulator, or something new?

Inspired by NerdCubed's game "Systems Nominal", Chaos Commando (from Holo Café (www.holocafe.de)), Deep Space 9, Stargate Atlantis and Job Simulator, I wanted to create the ultimate Space Station experience with all of its awesomeness and drawbacks. This "Space Station Simulator" should give you a feeling for what it takes to operate such a highly complex artificial construction in the emptiness of space.

Quick Review: Good Introduction to VR game play and physics. Very easy to start. If you enjoy follow the leader type games this is a game for you. Should be a $5 game. Review: Simple to learn but gets chaotic very fast. You basically are following commands given to you on the main screen. They are timed and you need to do them very quickly. I am old and slow...which means I suck at the game. Has a leader board for keeping track of high scores, which can make it interesting if you have friends competing with each other. I think it is a good game for people who are being introduced to VR / gaming. If you are looking for something more long term with complexity this is not the game for you. gues again when you think it looks simple to control this space station the instructions are given to you by a computer in front of you, everything goes easy but then u suddenly realise that the computer is acting and that it is messing with you, its up to you to be faster and wiser good luck! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt8zZgV1lvM
Space Station Loma: OPERATIONS - Simon says “don't blow up the darn space station!”
The concept behind this game is simple, you are the operations guy on a space station, you know the people you see in the background of the bridge on deep space 9? The guys sitting at terminals in the background of the death star. And the computer tells you what to do. It starts off easy...really easy….you think “i can do this”, “I am THE operator” and soon learn that the computer is mean and has it in for you lol ROOMSCALE / ENVIRONMENT The environments are very nice, i liked that if you were doing bad you could see stuff floating out past the ops window. The lobby is made very nicely and i like the way the credits are displayed on the wall (would be good to get the leaderboards up on there too, hint hint nudge nudge) The main game room had some cool effects, from mood lighting when the station is critical to flames and smoke when you messed up. GRAPHICS Not amazing but spot on for this type of game, certainly not bad. The buttons were a bit blandly designed but that is my only real criticism and it is such a minor point i almost deleted this line. PERFORMANC…
