About Space Tales
Space Tales is a story-driven sci-fi real-time strategy game where humanity’s expansion into the stars has awakened threats far beyond its control. You play as Xander Falcon, a young commander thrown into the role of hero after his father’s death. Under the banner of the I.P.E., humanity’s Inter-Planetary Expansion army, you will build colonies on hostile alien worlds, command retro-futuristic forces, and uncover the dark truth behind a war that is bigger than anyone wants to admit.
Every mission pushes you to think fast and plan ahead. Expand your base with the HUB system, manage limited resources, secure power lines, and fortify your colony before the next wave hits.Scout ahead, position your units, protect your base, and react quickly when the battlefield changes. The best commanders read the threat, adapt their plan, and seize the advantage. If you love RTS games where choice matters, Space Tales gives you plenty to master: resource management, base expansion, unit control, defensive planning, and tactical adaptation.
In Early Access, you will face two enemy factions with very different combat styles. The Nexera strike with alien aggression, overwhelming your defenses with organic threats and dangerous creatures. The Kill Bots bring relentless mechanized pressure, forcing you to rethink your layouts, unit choices, and timing. What works against one faction may fail completely against the other. The full version is planned to expand the campaign with additional missions, side content, more maps, and a third enemy faction that will add deeper tactical choices and new ways to approach every battle.
Face massive alien bosses, bring them down, and turn their power against your enemies. Once captured, these towering creatures become part of your army, giving you new ways to break enemy lines, defend your colony, and change the course of battle.
Space Tales blends tactical warfare with a character-driven sci-fi story where personal loyalty, propaganda, imperial ambition, and cosmic horror collide. As Xander fights alongside Vespera, a sharp mission coordinator, and Desmond, a loyal recruit, each mission uncovers new questions about humanity’s place among the stars. Each battle draws them deeper into the mystery, revealing more about the war, their allies, and the future they are fighting for. The Early Access version gives players a solid first chapter of the campaign, with all core gameplay systems already playable.
If you enjoy building under pressure, defending messy frontlines, solving tactical problems, and slowly turning a fragile colony into a war machine, Space Tales is built for you.The galaxy is hostile. Your resources are limited. Your enemies do not fight fair. This is Space Tales!

A good little indie RTS. Give it a try. Beginner tip, you can build resource collectors without having power over the node. Took me way to long to figure that one out.3 found this helpful
As a predominantly single player campaign player, I'm really enjoying this Indie RTS game! Though there's still a lot of polish needed especially with QoL features particularly unit pathing, more intuitive ways to simply add and remove units from existing allocated groups, and UI and map interface box needs be smaller in proportion to rest of the screen (though understandably I assume a lot of these technical issues will be resolved over time, as the game leaves early access and hopefully has enough success to have ongoing develpment support into the future) This game oozes so much personality, I love the 1920s era sci-fi retro aethetics and unique sci-fi sound track and cheesy writing from peak RTS era of late 1990s to early 2000s, and goofy unit art design to make this stand out from other RTS games I appreciate this game is made by an indie developer team from Vietnam, and I'm always keen to support indie projects from countries with emerging gaming development scenes. I hope developers eventually incorporate voice acting (please hire real life actors, i always will pick amateur actors over AI) into the cutscenes. For relatively current cheap price of this game, it's a b…3 found this helpful
currently no comments, just want to help this good game's thumbs up but its recommended and playable still lacking in QoLs and more unique choices, which is standard early access downsides2 found this helpful
This is such a charming and enjoyable underrated indie RTS game! Although lots of work still needs to be done polishing this game, which is understandable being in early access - but with ongoing polish and further development (only possible if RTS gamers support new indie RTS games such as this) Space Tales definitely has potential! I recommend checking out this new promising RTS game out, and it's sold at a bargain price too!1 found this helpful
The game definitely has a personality, inspired on the 1950's "outer space" sci-fi movies, a strong comic-book aesthetic, and an attention to story and lore that's uncommon for this genre. The game mode is mostly survival RTS. Overall, the game is fun. Really good vibes, simple and fresh. Very short. Maybe try out the demo. The controls are snappy and very arcade-like, they feel really good to me. The gameplay progression depends on your exploration of the maps, motivating you to go back and replay the map for unlocking more of the tech tree. The biggest problem with the game is the music variety: For one campaign episode (one planet), there seems to be only one music track on repeat. If the track was, for example, 8 minutes long, after 40 minutes of gameplay you'd have already heard it 5 times in a row. The same music track won't change until some 5 hours of gameplay. I ended up muting the music, which is a pity. Despite this being a small production, there are also some details that remind that it's a game from 2026: the backgrounds are very much alive, and things are going on in the map in creative ways that only Sci-Fi and fantasy allow.1 found this helpful
About 5ish hours or so of story content here so far. The content itself is pretty easy to understand and enjoyable. Content should hopefully increase with this being early access. The units so far are fun also. I think with more in the story, as well as fleshing out a bit more of the enemies, this will be serviceable to enjoy every so often.1 found this helpful
