Hard to like this that much...
I was suggested this game by someone who likes Action Roguelikes a lot. So I picked it up and decided to try it for their sake. The premise of Vikings in Space does not really sit well with me, however this could be because I play a lot of Tiny Rogues, which is essentially this game but ten times better with items, stat building, visuals, music, memes, comedy. You get the idea. I just played one run. It wasn't very difficult, and it didn't appear to require "Auto Aim" as another reviewer mentioned; that's not the objective of these Action Roguelikes. It's precision and multitasking; instead of turning your brain off to play with autopilot enabled. I'd go so far as to say that a lot of this seemed precisely the same as Tiny Rogues, without implying that it felt like plagiarizing their ideas by making the "Space Boar" larger with the exact s…2 found this helpful

So so so fun. would reccomend to anyone that likes dungeon crawlers. item system is very unique and requires a fun amount of thinking to get the best weapons. i saw this when it was on newgrounds like a year or so ago and put it on my wishlist. now that its out and finished i absolutely adore it. 10/10 this should have more players its actually goated.
Hidden Gem, Just get it its a great game very fun <3
Gameplay: It's a lot like Binding of Isaac. You'll go into different rooms, fight some enemies, get rewards, and choose a new room to visit until you've found a key that unlocks the final boss for that stage - and then defeat the boss. Combat is pretty fast-paced and ranged weaponry feels far more common than melee choices, but melee is equally enjoyable. You can augment your weapons, add health, and dash capabilities. There's also a shop, augment station, and chests to help you on your journey. Graphics: Rather minimalistic with the backgrounds as each location just looks like a bland room. But the enemies look cool, weapons look good, as well as all of the different effects that'll happen during your dungeon runs. Sound: SFX is perfect for the game, and music is quite nice as well. Overall: It's not a very difficult game, and it feels somewhat short in a way. You can probably complete a run within 10 minutes or so if you try to go through it as fast as possible. Still, I had a lot of fun with it and I recommend it.
Fun rougelike, its hard but not overwhelming
