Special Delivery - Paperboy in VR! Yes it is awesome!
So i got a psvr the other day and i brought Special Delivery, i really liked it but i had one issue, one let down, instead of throwing the papers by hand you used the paperboys powers of telekinesis to throw the paper where you were looking…. Not a bad way of doing it, but i wanted to throw the papers! Well in the pc version you can do just that! It is deeply satisfying when you get the papers in the box (you can also deliver them just to the victims errrr i mean subscribers yard, or via the front room window :) ) If you are unfamiliar with the original paper boy game then your school and or your parents have let you down! It is a classic of a game that first came out on the zx spectrum 48k(my first try of it was on the commodore 64…. Yeah i am that old) where you play a paperboy and the whole world is seemingly out to get you! You foil these attempts at your life (and even gas station hold ups) by throwing papers at them, while delivering them to your news papers loyal subscribers, this has been lovingly recreated in vr! +Paper Boy VR +Nice Graphics -Way too buggy -Not enough areas 2/5 This game is exactly like Paperboy NES, if Paperboy was shorter, and unfinished feeling. I really want to be able to recommend this game. BUT A lot of times the rounds will start and the bike moved 3 ft ahead of where you originally were, when you grab the paper, it's hit or miss, sometimes you'll get it sometimes you wont. Until this game gets some updates, fixes some bugs, and feels like a finished game I can not recommend this. 4/10 Fun Idea, but the game really lacks variety, and therefore becomes boring very quickly.1 found this helpful
great concept but gave me extreme motion sickness afterwards, you cannot made a vr game entirely around moving extremely quickly
Needs more! Give us a big city to cruz in. Became bored in 20 minutes.
Controls are a bit wonky using Oculus Rift tracked motion controllers. If you can get it on sale, maybe; but, I can't say it is worth it at it's current price.
