"Stacks:Jungle!" is a mediocre and ultimately unsuccessful paint drying expedition, a single player "CCG" boardgame with a somewhat flimsy jungle exploration theme. What do you do in the game? You collect, craft, and use cards to explore and complete quests in the jungle. There's a lightweight survival element where you need to keep yourself alive by playing the right cards and keeping your stats up. The theme is a bit cutesy as you're given missions like feeding monkeys, growing plants and so on. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. The whole thing really does look more like a mobile app than a PC game, and could have done better as a browser/mobile game than a paid PC game. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be g…1 found this helpful
Fantastic series. I absolutely love the map is all on one screen and there are multiple locations to find and quests to continue doing so you don't get bored easily but also keep you engaged more than once.1 found this helpful
Stacks: Jungle is the newest offering from the creators of Stacks: Space. This card-based strategy village builder incorporates elements of exploration and crafting. While it shares similarities in style and gameplay with Stacklands and Card Survival Tropical Island, Stacks: Jungle enhances the experience with a wider array of crafting recipes and a more intricate and mature visual design. If you enjoy card-based games, I highly recommend giving Stacks: Jungle a try, especially if you find it on sale. It’s an enjoyable game, though it leans towards a more tranquil experience compared to other titles in the Stacks series. I would appreciate seeing more Stacks games featuring diverse themes and challenges.1 found this helpful
