About Stack Island - Survival card game
After waking on a seemingly deserted Island, you’ll need to piece together the clues to survive and remember what happened. Exploring the island will unlock new recipes and cards, which can be used to craft tools.
Dismantle obstacles and make your escape from the island. Survival is merely a means to acquire the necessary tools for escape.
Escape
The most important thing on Stack Island is to survive until you can escape. The island can be a very punishing place. From blistering hot days to dangerous creature-lurking nights, you’ll always need to be one step ahead of the island.
You'll need to manage four main survival elements: health, stamina, condition, and contamination level. Eating off the land, growing your own crops, drinking clean water, and avoiding wildlife are all luxuries on Stack Island.
Stack Island is full of natural ingredients, materials, and wildlife that can help you survive. Exploring new locations will unlock new recipes for you to craft. From stone knives for cutting and hunting to make-shift hideouts to survive the night.
However, not all items or interactions in Stack Island have a recipe. You’ll need to put on your Bear Grill hat and think outside the box to create some of the tools you’ll need to uncover all the secrets of Stack Island.

On an island where drifting garbage has accumulated, there is no obvious place to escape. You must create the necessary items for escape using things left behind by previous inhabitants or various items found on the island, and find a place where you can make your escape.

I would describe this game as a mix between Stacklands and Card Survival Tropical Island. It brings some unique mechanics to the card survival genre such as weather cards being incorporated into crafting recipes (apply the 'sun' card to leaves and get dried leaves for tinder etc.) For an early access game it has a lot going for it and tons of promise! Put it on your wish list and grab it on sale if you're not sure, but I give it a thumbs up. At face value, this combines two great games--stacklands and the card survival series. Unfortunately, the designer hasn't come up with a compelling combination of these genres. The interface is egregiously fiddly and obstructive--somehow even moreso than the original card survival. There are tons of popups, excessively lengthy text that is presented too early before it is relevant, and extraneous cards and recipes appearing all over the screen like so much irritating trash which you are also forced by the game to constantly remove, and to do it all you must constantly flip between your equipment, bags and subscreens to inanely manage your tiny inventory. And how has this game actually been improved by incorporating stacklands' card interface, but somehow none of the actually fun parts of that game! All this would be annoying enough, but to add to this, the game is not turn based--your lifebar is constantly ticking down as you're trying to read verbose text, figure out recipes and what each item does, and navigate back and forth through the unintuitive and needlessly extraneous interface. The game presents you with way too much information and requires way too much micromanagement…2 found this helpful
I thought it was a game similar to Stacklands, but it was completely different. It's a survival game where everything from gathering resources to crafting and combat is done through cards. It feels like a combination of a puzzle game and a simulation, which makes it very unique.1 found this helpful
This little gem is definitely worth a punt if you like Card Survival or Stacklands. The real-time challenge adds a tough extra dimension (though I would like a pause-able version too). I am determined to conquer my paltry 36 hours alive PB....This game has LOADs going for it and it's as cheap as chips. GRAB IT!
A unique survival crafting game that's a lot of fun to play and I'm really excited to see more of the story. Feels a bit like a puzzle as you see what work together to make what and discover new recipes. If you like survival games you should absolutely try this!
