Horizons is a multi-player experience allowing 2-6 players to work together as Bridge Officers. This game is designed to be played as a team, venturing around the galaxy or playing any number of Missions designed for a shorter experience.
One License Supports Up Six Players
One copy of the game will server as the Main View Screen (like you see in Star Trek) and allow up to 6 players locally to join from their devices as one of the key Bridge Officers: Captain, Flight, Tactical, Science, Operations, and Engineering. Use your PC, Laptop, Tablet, Chromebook or even Raspberry Pi to connect and play! Add additional screens like Alert Status, Shield Status, Galactic Maps and more to further add to the fun!
Advanced Hardware Support
Build your own bridge with lighting and immersive effects! Horizons natively supports external devices like DMX, Philips hue, Z-Wave and even networked Arduino or Raspberry Pi devices.
Steam Workshop
Support for Steam Workshop will be added in the future to allow the community to add and share their own content.

I really like the idea of games like this. There are a lot of good things in this game but I think they are overshadowed by the bad. When you load a new mission after finishing the first one the game does not put all stations onto the same ship. There are a lot of menus that do not fit onto the screen especially in the game masters screen. The mission editor is broken and refuses to save certain things, if you use notepad++ to script a mission that game wont load it. Most of the missions wont work correctly. The game has serious problems of staying connected to all the stations and is quite laggy for no reason. I understand that this game is early access, but €50 for this is quite frankly a rip-off. I've played a couple of other bridge simulators and had fun doing so - and I thought this one would be fun as well. I appreciate the fact that you don't need to install anything for the other players to join a session, and the visuals are on par - maybe better than most in this genre. Unfortunately there are other problems that I can't overlook. The biggest problem for me is the fact that it is difficult to create custom missions in the current state. With other games of this type (such as EmptyEpsion which is free) You can easily drag and drop objects and configure them on the fly. Controls are mediocre when running keyboard and mouse - though I imagine they work decent with a touch screen device. I wanted to look into this further, but would have run the risk of not being eligible for a refund. I believe this to be a project that has potential, but I can't recommend it in the current state. If these problems were solved, I would be willing to re-purchase in the future.3 found this helpful
fun group game
My friends and I were eager to try this, so we finally pitched in and bought it. On our first mission,, missiles that we fired all got stuck IN our ship and slowly destroyed us. Got no response in 17 hours on the forums, so I have no choice but to refund; it is unplayable, apparently.
Very cool concept with an incredibly responsive dev team. I look forward to seeing where this game goes!!
Possibly the best and most flexible bridge sim software out there.
