This is a cute, humble little SRPG which doesn't pretend to be more than it is. I like it. It's a light strategy RPG with customization elements which will appeal strongly to Front Mission fans. The entire campaign took me around 7 hours to complete (including 3-starring objectives). I decided to get the remaining achievements by grinding out the same few stages for an extra hour or so. All in all, it took me around 8 hours to 100% the game, minus some time idling. The most noticeable issue is the UI when it comes to organizing your cargo hold. It would be nice if there were a "sort by weapon type" button." As it stands, upgrading and sifting through your inventory is a bit more clunky than it should be. Steam Tactics could've also used some fine tuning with its balancing. The most efficient way to play right now is to load up your ships with 3x of the same weapon, instead of merging them to upgrade, as the game intends. Beyond this, I really have no criticisms with the game. Could it have been longer and more expansive? Probably. Could it have benefited from additional game modes? Probably. Could the game benefited from more challenging levels? Probably. But for a $5 gam…1 found this helpful

fun little game, well worth it even at full price
Chess game with fluffy animals
Only just begun to play, but this seems quite the interesting offering. At the core it is simple strategic combat game, you shops move and shoot, or just shoot (sadly no shoot than move that I can figure out.) the the enemy ships do the same. Try to out maneuver them and stay alive. The game seems to have a robust upgrade system for the ships and a simpler one for the pilots. The art is seriously cute, and the characters and the story seem fun as well. Not sure how much game there will be yet, but I suspect it goes awhile. I will amend my review when I find out. As is however, and easy thumbs up on this one, especially at under a buck. ADDENDUM: Three hours in, still fun, but it's gotten kind of grindy. ADDENDUM: A bit over 12 hours to beat the entire campaign. Fun enough to go back and try and tidy up some loose ends though. The strategy is surprisingly deep.
