Better than many $10 games in the genre. Great music, fun weapons/spells, and catchy music will keep you playing.3 found this helpful
"Stickman: Waves Of Doom" is a ripoff of Vampire Survivors (Copyright Poncle, 2021). The concept, mechanics, and visual direction have been plagiarised wholesale from the original. At this stage no legal action has been taken by Poncle against the "developer" here, but it's never off the table, as previous copyright law cases have shown. Aside from the obvious ethical problems with just copying someone else's game, the least you could do if you're going to steal an idea is do it better than the original. Stickman: Waves Of Doom is noticeably worse than Vampire Survivors in every meaningful way. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. Stickman: Waves Of Doom is an indie action roguelike developed and published by Relevation Studios that focuses on fast-paced survival combat against overwhelming enemy hordes. The game embraces a minimalist design philosophy, presenting players with a simple stickman protagonist placed in increasingly dangerous arenas where survival depends on reflexes, movement, and clever use of upgrades. Rather than relying on complex storytelling or elaborate worldbuilding, the experience is built around pure gameplay—dropping players into chaotic battles where the goal is to survive wave after wave of enemies for as long as possible. At the heart of the game lies a classic horde-survival formula. Players control a stickman warrior viewed from a top-down perspective, navigating a battlefield where enemies continuously spawn and attempt to overwhelm the player. Early moments of a run feel manageable as small groups of enemies approach slowly, giving players time to familiarize themselves with the controls and mechanics. However, as time progresses, the pace of the game intensifies dramatically. Enemy numbers grow larger, their movement speeds increase, and new attack patterns begin to appear. …1 found this helpful
