Sunny Side Up

I gave the game a fair shot. I beat all five stages available, I loved the idea of playing as a cute egg with a hat, and it was neat spending stars to upgrade the character stats, but this is not a game I would consider wholesome nor do I consider it worth many people's time. It feels more like a meme game with a cute skin. You get introduced to the mechanics over time. The stages in the order that you unlock them are: Starting Barn, Tropical Delight, Bean Stock, The Kitchen, and finally Cell Tower. You can spend stars that you find in the stages at a shop keeper that can upgrade your running speed or jump height (do this one). You can also change the egg's hat and even add glasses. Starting Barn starts off quite simple introducing you to the double jump (the spring) and the miner hat (illuminates hidden platforms). It is also here where the memey nature of the game shows itself. On top of a bag of flour are a bunch of coins, and when you go to collect said coins, a deadly farming tool suddenly drops out of the sky and kills you. Later, you climb up to the top of the barn and hit a switch that reveals platforms leading outside a window. You have to jump on some rotating platforms…

This game just has good vibes. The art style is adorable, the music is relaxing, and making it through a tricky section feels so satisfying.

Bought it because it looked cute and honestly wasn't disappointed. It's relaxing without being boring, and the platforming gets surprisingly satisfying once you get the hang of it.

Been playing the game with my younger cousins they both loved it. Even as an adult the game is fun its not to difficult but neither to easy so its good for all ages if they like platformers.

Love when indie games don't overcomplicate things. Good movement, fun level design, relaxing atmosphere, and plenty of little secrets to find. Had a great time.

Did not think I would be emotionally invested in an egg's journey, but here we are, very wholesome game
