While the game says that it is verified on the steam deck, it just crashes over and over. The entire game is also just fetch quest after fetch quest, with a little platforming thrown in. Its cute and has its funny bits but just isn't for me. Wish I could give it a meh, cause its not terrible. Might be best for kids over adults.2 found this helpful
i wanted to like this game, i really did. but it's just not great. i think the best word to describe this game is "mediocre". the whole thing just feels really bland and unfinished. it needs a lot of work1 found this helpful
I would say this game overall is fine. I wouldn't recommend it because it's not nearly good enough. I say it reaches the bare minimum for a game. It's playable, it runs well, it doesn't have any game-breaking glitches to my knowledge. ultimately it is adequate and i can't in good faith recommend this game to anyone only if you like the creator that it's from but even then that's a tough sell because I liked the animations, but I did not like the game itself. I say the game is way too open, the player moves way too slow, and there aren nearly enough helpful things in the game to help out Even early on even a game like Mouse P for Hire was significantly better than this game Not just in terms of animations, but also in terms of gameplay. I like games with substance, not games that are wander until you find the objective. Some people will like it, I get it, but I don't understand why this game feels so hollow. It's like, could you at least make it actually feel like there's substance before you make a collectathon? Which is the closest thing to what I can call this game. In actuality, I don't know what to call it. A collectathon is the most fitting label I have right now. But anyways,…
Performance-wise, this game runs fantastic with one giant, seamless main world that's also pleasing to look at. A good number of minigames and cute characters make this journey memorable, along with meaningful progression as you unlock (or create your own) shortcuts throughout. The self-awareness in some of the dialogue is charmingly reflective of the collect-a-thon genre. The soundtrack fits every sub-region like a glove, very immersive. If more places do get added, I would like there to be some kind of music checkpoint system in which music tracks can start somewhere in the middle instead of playing the beginning over and over again, keeping track of lesser played segments. The Schnitzelville music is great and all, but I rarely got to hear the whole track whilst going in and out of the buildings. Also had some little UI problems. The Quest tab was confusing, some stickers remained grayed out for quests I'd already completed, and I didn't understand what the rainbow-colored stickers meant. The fan boost wouldn't activate at times, after drowning (and re-crafting a fan) or entering loading zones, and Andro's passive dialogue stayed on screen some time after 100%ing the game and…
It's pretty good, it's just bad at finding the objectives nor completing them, loved the game, loved the art and the mechanics are pretty cool.
i got the uncooked schnitzel it was tasty
