I didnt have alot of expectations going into the game to be honest, I saw that it had so few reviews so I wanted to be a part of it as creators should be encouraged. As for the game, at first I found certain things confusing as I thought it was some kind of messed up fairy tale. But then it seemed to portray certain horrific things that happen alot in our world. Abuse seemed to be a strong theme in this game, whether it meant to or not. This may even need a trigger warning just because it can be interpreted as certain abuses that are highly sensitive. All that aside I really enjoyed the game and shed some tears due to my own interpretation to what was happening to this girl. Luckily I did read the creators notes which arent unlocked till the end of everything really which cleared up they just meant they were toxic parents even though clues point to things much more sinister. I would give this a 9 out of 10 for all the positives it has, but trigger warning should be in order.4 found this helpful

"Sweet Girl Gurumelo" is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This is another bit of weaponized cringe as a high school anime fan-club dropout has used the Ren'Py construction kit to hammer out a fan-fiction, and guess what the subject is? Yes, it's all about a little girl. Why are these anime fan-fiction writers so obsessed with little girls? This is incredibly creepy and weird. This was slapped together with the godawful Ren'Py visual novel construction kit... enabling terrible authors to publish books as if they were games when otherwise we might have been spared the pollution.
