Sword Trip

Added this to my cardio workout routine: Beat Saber, Pistol Whip, Space Pirate, Stride, and now this game! Pros -Good workout if you put in the effort -Makes you feel like a Chinese martial art god -Enemies are challenging and death is not very forgiving -Your guide responds to inappropriate contact lol, nice detail! -Sword sound effects and haptic feedback Con (Not much else needed.I like the fact the game sticks to simplicity with details) -The jump is more of a dodge button. Would prefer to dodge in real life and have the jump button to defy gravity for a short time, like in old school Chinese martial arts movies. - A nice compromise would be short press = dodge, while long press = gravity defying -More destructible objects. (I'm not that far in the game so maybe this comes later) -Give us art work and narrated story of actual Chinese legends/stories so that we learn more about the actual culture -Levels look big but most of the square footage is not accessible so you can end up backing yourself into invincible walls unsuspectingly Over all this is a nice game to help you get motivated to work out. Simple but effective and attention to details.

ts is rly good no bs

A great fencing game. Feels better than B&S, good as a game -- not an empty entertain-yourself-we-don't-care sandbox but offers some options for how you want to play. Does few things but does them well and in depth making it interesting to come back and play around again. There are sandbox and endless modes that make it more varied. I for one prefer playing through the 'campaign' -- it's always a tiny bit different and I keep learning new things and experimenting with the powers. Areas change from act to act starting to be more dangerous as time goes (no traps but enemies may spawn in ways that you may not notice them and get cheap-shot. Good. A decent challenge, makes me feel like a great swordsman, gets my BPMs up and my calories go away. Jolly good. P.s. There is a small bug that you may phase out of bounds in some areas esp. in act 3, try not to get yourself into corners or against walls. Not game-breaking but some skills and enemies' heavy attacks can make it feel awkward.

The basic mechanics kinda works, but there is about 1h of content max ( 2 bosses, a few arena a few perks ). Although I like the theme the character models do look generic, and the environment are very empty, the UI needs quite some polish. I put a yes because it definitely has some good ideas, but I would stay its not quite ready at the current stage
