About Tactical Soccer The New Season
Tactical Soccer The New Season is a turn-based soccer simulation. Control all 11 players at the same time - instead of shouting at your left back to ‘get forward’ you control them and can build up an attack exactly how you want. You are the coach and have real control of the team.
The gameplay is simple. When it's your turn, select a player and decide where they should move; or perhaps prepare them to head the ball. If they have the ball, you can pass, shoot or dribble. Once you've instructed your players, press ‘end turn’ and watch them carry out your orders. The computer controlled team then plays. Play continues like this until the match ends.
The game is played on a 3D pitch (not a tiled board), so you can move the camera to line up that perfect pass or watch as your speedy winger manages to just out run the opposition's tiring defender.Players have different abilities - speed, dribbling, tackling, passing, shooting, stamina etc. Use your tactical skills to maximise the strengths of your players to defeat the opposition. When defending, you have to be positionally aware and block the opposition's runs with your players.

About the developer
Back in 2002 I released Tactical Soccer on the Internet. Jump a decade or more and I thought it would be nice to update Tactical Soccer for the current generation of PCs hence the title Tactical Soccer - The New Season. So I got together with an artist friend and this is the result. It's virtually a total overhaul of the game plus I've been able to add in several features to the game to make it easier and quicker for the player to get the team to carry out their tactics.

Not something I would recommend.3 found this helpful
I picked this up hoping a turn-based soccer game would scratch a strategic itch, but the execution left me frustrated. The core concept is genuinely interesting, and the graphics are decent for an indie title, but matches drag on interminably — we're talking hours to complete a single game. The tactics feel shallow once you realize most plays boil down to getting close and shooting at the same corner every time, headers are useless, and the AI turn delays make an already slow game feel painful. The UI needs serious polish and there are mechanical exploits that break what little strategy exists. Unless you have unlimited patience and a deep love for the concept, I'd point you toward Football Tactics & Glory instead.1 found this helpful
Turn Based Soccer. It's alright.
I know a few people that would really enjoy spending 4+ hours to complete a single football match. But that aint me. The game concept is good, execution could use a few design touch-ups when it comes to menu and understanablilty of the options given. But the game just takes so long to play. If you're aiming on getting all of the achivements, you can expect putting a guaranteed minimum of 90+ hours into the game
Not done much with it yet, but bought it in the sale feeling at the price there was little to lose. I was surprised at the decent graphics, I wouldn't have been put out if I had paid full price. It obviously comes from a small developer, but I feel they have done a good job at a fair price, it's sad that it has had so many negative reviews. I have some expensive games that I am less than pleased with, so thanks to the developers of Tactical Soccer for a fair deal. It even has a PDF manual so I don't have to scour the Internet finding how to play it, plus decent built in tutorials, great stuff
one of the games that might help you to learn how to play footbal :D
