Tafl PTK (Protect the King) is a squad formation auto battler where you play an escaping king. Just like in the classic Viking game Tafl you will be escaping to the corners to win. However, you will be facing waves of enemies as they spawn into the map. The brave squad that you have put together will try their best to stay in the formation specified as they bare the brunt of hordes of enemies and random events. Controllers will be needed for co-op.

So I've played a few hours on this game and I believe it has a lot of potential. The game really shines in it's core mechanics, there are a lot of variables to consider when creating your team/picking your powers. I spoke with the Dev about my complaints and apparently he's already planning to address them. Basically I told him that the game needs polish in terms of U.I design and the tutorial which I highly recommend reading before you play, don't go in blind, you will be lost. I found the game is best enjoyed with a controller. I played with a keyboard and mouse and it needs some tweeking. The Co-op is chaos in a fun way... Reminded me of playing Gauntlet Legends on the 64, fighting with your buddies on the right way to go. It's worth a play-through, give it a try. I look forward to seeing the updates, if your reading Oak, maybe post milestones on the community page? If you did that's my bad, I missed it.
