Once upon a time, in a topsy-turvy world...
In the beginning, you find yourself lost within a world of utter darkness. Your memories are gone; even your name is a mystery.
But just when the bitter loneliness threatens to break your spirit, you meet Alice—a blond-haired, blue-eyed young man who promptly christens you "Arisu."
Like you, Alice cannot remember anything beyond his own name. Ignoring his protests, you drag him along with you through the darkness... until you happen upon a massive mirror made of crystal.
You stumble through the glass and into the Looking-Glass World, an antiquated fairytale dreamscape that feels oddly familiar...
There, amid a colorful cast of gender-swapped fairytale characters, you take on the role of the heroine and join them in their twisted tales.
How will the story end? It's up to you!
ONCE UPON A TIME, your parents arrange a marriage between you and a man named Cinderella.
But there's no way you're marrying a guy you've never met! So you sneak over to his cafe to spy on him... only for him and his brothers to mistake you for a beggar and give you a job you didn't even know you wanted!
From now on, you'll live under the same roof as your potential future husband, all while he has no idea of your true identity. Will his love blossom before the clock strikes twelve?
ONCE UPON A TIME, you receive a threatening letter in the mail from someone identified only as "The Wolf." Thankfully, Officer Red Riding Hood has come to your rescue! Except... he wants to keep you under 24-hour surveillance?!
It's just the two of you, all alone in your mansion. But how can you romance Officer Handsome when he keeps you at arm's length?
And who is "The Wolf," anyway? You'll need to work together to solve the case—and perhaps you'll melt his frosty exterior along the way!

✦ AI summary
Players praise the game's sharp writing, excellent voice acting, and quality translation that delivers genuine humor throughout. The story features clever plot twists, strong romantic tension, and unique takes on fairytale characters with good character development. However, some find the early pacing slow and the premise occasionally contrived, and a few note the game contains content that may feel misogynistic or require an open-minded approach to appreciate fully.
I just can't bring myself to go on with this, so my review is sadly from just one hour playing time - prologue and start of Red's route. The prologue already was painfully weird - confusing and boring at the same time, I was so happy when it was over. But when the story really started it was so damn weird again! For example they are sitting together, drinking tea at her house, because he's a police officer investigating her case (she got a threatening letter) - he's doubting the sincerity at first then revealing he already brought his stuff with him to spend the next days and nights with her - yeah, right, maybe would be nice if police really sent you a bodyguard on a whim. So.... oookay. For the sake of setting up a nice possible romance we'll let this slide. So then they procede to introduce themselves. Wait a sec... introduce? He came to her house, sat down and drank her tea without ever mentioning his name?? And the weirdness just goes on from there. I know they have different customs in Japan than in Europe but they are both acting not along japanese customs either, the dialogues are just really strange from every perspective. Not in a funny deliberate way sadly, just in …15 found this helpful
this is probably the only otome where the heroine outfreaks the love interest lmao1 found this helpful
The way the story is written didn't click with me. Cinderella's route was okay because at least the narrative hadn't turned repetitive yet, even if the route itself was unnecessarily long. Red Hiding Hood's is just annoying from start to finish. I think if I had started with it I would have dropped the series right there, which would've at least earned me a refund. I would only recommend it to people who have a high tolerance for insufferable, toxicly positive protagonists.1 found this helpful
honestly a bit slow at the start but once you really get into it you REALLY get into it !! i lovee lovelove love all the fun twists they did for their little stories, it feels so subtle but at the same time its like its being screamed right into your face. the dialogue along with voice acting is amazing, they casted the characters so well and whoever did the translating needs a damn raise cause of how hilarious it was most of the time. you definitely need to get into this with a bit more of uhhh open-mindedness though, won't elaborate any further but i fear that if you're just #toowoke you won't enjoy this game very much. theres a few times where it can feel kinda misogynistic so just a small warning. i got into this game incredibly blind, only knowing that these men all need some sort of professional mental help and that theyre based off of fairy tales and went yes !!!!!1 please !!!!! spoiler for the routes!!
cinderella route definitely felt more put together, i loved the dynamics all the characters had amongst each other and their story together just overall felt so romantic and so angsty it was just pure deliciousness. cried a few times while doing cinderellas …1 found this helpful
pretty i love Alice hes hillarious
Pros
♡ Interesting plottwists, character parallels, and good execution of concept. The writing wasn’t mindblowingly excellent, but it was good/acceptable. I like how the writers tried different approaches to each of the LI’s original fairytales. There’s also MANY parallels you can feel between the two LI’s even though they never interact. I think what the writers did best was definitely romantic tension. ♡ Extremely funny (IMO). This game has a lot of humor which I wasn’t expecting, definitely more packed with it than other otomes I’ve played. And the smooth translations was the cherry on top! Seriously, lots of Japanese games can have somewhat awkward humor due to bad translations, but here it’s perfect. ♡ Unique and interesting MC. Instead of being a blank slate, you can see the heroine has so much personality and even feel her compatibility with both LI’s. She’s optimistic, funny, smart, charming.. yet has her cons such as being too spontaneous and stubborn. It’s also very refreshing to see a MC who really plays a more active role in the routes. ♡ Excellent voice acting and almost fully VA’d. The only character who doesn’t have …
